A Reintroduction

Day 2,735, 10:37 Published in USA USA by Illiguy

Greetings,

I'm writing today to introduce, well reintroduce, myself. I first joined eRep back in 2010, and at that time I was a member of the (now defunct?) Mobile Infantry as well as the SFP. I had a lot of fun at first, but not too long into my eLife, a major change in game mechanics occurred (surprise, surprise...), and at that point I lost interest. At any rate, earlier this year I decided to come back to the game. I honestly don't know why I did. I might've seen an ad somewhere and was bored at the time, and I succumbed to nostalgia.

Obviously, a ton has changed being away for 5 years, and I didn't really know which way was up or down. At first, I rejoined the eUS Military, but soon found that unit to be a far cry from what it used to be, not to mention the fact that the MI was essentially gone, it's purpose no longer being necessary in the current game. I then stumbled back upon the SFP, which I remembered being a member of back then, and was delighted to find it moving up in the eWorld. I then thought it just made sense to join Bear Cavalry, and that has been the best decision I have made so far in this game. Both the SFP and BC are great organizations that genuinely care about building up all of their members, not just the big ones.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the next big thing that happened to me after rejoining the game. I was selected by George Armstrong Custer for the most recent Old Fu-ks SCAM program. So if you donated, I am the product of spending your hard-earned gold and I am incredibly grateful to have been part of the program. It made me feel like I had some skin in this game for once, and that I was put on an upward trajectory. After I made many upgrades to my training and work facilities through that program, I am now a cadet in the BC's Build-A-Bear Workshop and am focusing on further building up my strength.

I've been a silent participant since I've been back, but the events of the last couple of days have spurred me to get more involved. Thank you, Wooky Jack, for shaking things up and giving us something to believe in! I look forward to getting more involved in the SFP, BC, the eUS as a whole, and getting to know everyone!
