A proposal for a new alliance system

It has been a long time since I published anything in connection with our 'beloved' game as I lost total interest. But, we are stuck here. Given the amount of time and/or money we invested into this, we just simply won't quit, so yeah, here we are.

But since I'm stuck here and it constantly frustrates me how admins give nearly 0 ****s about us, from time to time I write down my suggestions hoping for the best. Well at least they introduced some of my ideas into the game in the past so maybe they'll take into account my ideas this time too.

So, folks. How to make the game more interesting and exciting? That's the big question and I think the answer to our question starts with Country Power.

On day 2191 erep introduced Country Power and apart of a new background picture that you have if you are an empire and a new Ranking page it doesen't really do or change anything. But based on the Country Power I think we just might be able to make this game a little more exciting.

Alliances:

Right now the system of alliances is quite boring. Big countries sitting on 100% bonus, small countries struggling of survival, most of the time not even able to sign MPPs due to lack of CC.

My first proposal is to set a limit to the number of members to every alliance based on the counry power it represents. How? It can be based on percentage or the total of country power points itself.

Option1 (percentage): an alliance cannot posses more than 15% of the sum of the total Country Power points of all countries.

Option2 (points): a simple point limit set for alliances, let's say 10.000. Thus no alliance can have more members when it reaches its limit.

I'd prefer option1, simply because points can change over time and then the limit should be adjusted constantly and with the percentage solution the system adjusts itself.

With this system implemented we would basically sh*t in the fan, tear up the current and immovable relations, thus making the countries to act and react mostly through their Foreign Ministries, trying to find the best possible option for alliances.

MPPs:

The current MPP system is a complete joke in my opinion as it is barely a cost for big countries and a significant cost to small countries. A cost they can't afford most of the time.

My proposal is to make a dynamic MPP cost system based on the Country Power list. We have right now 74 countries and I think strong countries should pay more while small countries less. We take the list, divide it into 3 thirds and make a special price for top 1-5.
74-5=69
69/3=23

Here's what I think:

Top1 Country: 14.000 cc
Top2 Country: 13.000 cc
Top3 Country: 12.000 cc
Top4 Country: 11.000 cc
Top5 Country: 10.000 cc
23 Countries of top thir😛 9000 cc
23 Countries of middle thir😛 5000 cc
23 Countries of bottom thir😛 1000 cc

Example:
Serbia wants to sign MPP with Singapore. When the law is accepted by the dictator or the congress the MPP comes alive and Serbia pays 14.000 cc for it as they are top1 currently, while Singapore pays 1000 cc as they are in the bottom third.

With this solution I think we could give a chance to small countries to really be part of the game. Hell, if they get together and 20 small countries sign MPPs with the intention to mess with big alliances they can do it easily too.

Alliance Headquarters:

And last but not least, my proposal is to introduce Alliance HQs.

Rules:
-Every alliance should appoint a region as its Alliance HQ, without exception
-It could be moved once every term
-HQ region cannot be attacked by airstrike
-Every region around HQ regions has protection from airstrikes (neighbour regions of HQ region, thus creating a circle of protection)
-Every newly created alliance has 48 hours to put down their HQ
-Every newly created alliance has the chance to move their HQ once after 10 days of creation.

Now we have HQs and here comes the fun part. 0.5% of every country's tax income would go into the HQ of its respective Alliance on a daily basis. So for example we have an alliance, they set up HQ in a region, there are 10 members of the alliance. Every day 0.5% of the members' tax income goes straight into the HQ, piling up.

When a country succesfully conquers an HQ here's what happens:
-30% of the money found inside HQ would go to the country that conquered it
-70% of the money found inside HQ would go to the members of the Alliance of the country that conquered it. Equally distributed.

Oh and one more thing. The money inside HQs would be top secret, not a public information that anyone can check. It would be only visible for Country Presidents of the Alliance 🙂
