Join the new world

Greetings,
As many of you already know, I recently ran and lost in my attempt to be in the National Assembly in Jeollanam-do. At first this defeat was painful to swallow because the active forum members easily accepted me into the South Korean community. I figured the National Assembly would be easy to get into as long as I am dedicated, loyal, and active. Boy was I wrong about that! From my loss, I have discovered a few new truths about my new home:

1. The Citizen: Every citizen plays a vital part in the economy, military, and administration of a successful country. The citizens should be in charge of national decisions with the president and assemblymen/women as their representatives. This is a basic fact when running a country and this will be one of my focus’s as I run again next month for the National Assembly of South Korea.
2. The Assemblyman/woman: These prominent citizens are the leaders of the community who stand above the rest to serve the rest as representatives of the people. These key members of society lead the country to either greatness or poverty. Activity, service, loyalty, and humility are the most important aspects of any NA member in any country.
3. The Korean: After reading JaFe’s article after the elections, I took into consideration the reality of where I am: South Korea. Koreans are the basis of this community with a healthy mix of Europeans and Americans. From this point on, I will be attempting to re-write my articles in Korean so EVERYONE can participate in the community. Every citizen counts.
4. The Alien: I am a real-life United States citizen. I will not pretend to be otherwise. In real life, I am very proud of my country in many aspects (and others, not so much), but in eRepublik I am very disappointed in my home country. They sit on their pedestal and allow corruption to set in their administration. This is why I moved away and eventually found my way to South Korea. It took me several months to receive citizenship but even though I finally got it, I will not be accepted until I have proven my worth. I will not speak of great things to come or what I’ve accomplished. These are mere words and actions speak much louder than words ever will.

So I stand before the South Korean community today, awaiting judgment on whether or not I am worthy to be a South Korean citizen. The choice is yours.
