Dear Anthony

When next you submit an article please check your front and back facts.

Thanks in advance 🙂

Your Friend

The Ruler of the sea and in-stiller of fear,

Krakken.
Bad facts leads to bad things!

Good facts leads to good things!

Bad facts leads to incorrect information.

Whilst good facts leads to good information.

Bad facts and data leads to bad knowledge!

Whilst good facts leads to ...yes you have guessed it accurate and good knowledge.

Now you might say that getting 2 facts right in 10 facts is not as bad.

Whilst I might stress to you as "e-journalist" uphold the principle of getting all facts right!

You might say misrepresenting the accomplishments of Ireland is not something we should worry about!

But I can assure you none of the people that you gave the false credits too ever wanted to be for example the "inventor" of soda water. For the simple fact that they mostly improved or contributed to the invention. They designed a test for the ejection seat. Because they saw the use of it and they wanted to make certain the real people shot out in it survived. The real facts is better than the superficial flyer you posted.

You might say but that is not my facts I do not have to check them before I publish them.

But then you shouldnt publish them! Or should correct them!
But most of those people was scientist and the cornerstone of science is giving credit where credit is due. You see someone like Percival did not want to be known as the inventor of carbonated water but he heard about , and saw the invention and thought about how he could use it in medical procedures. And he was the first to do it in Ireland. Which is very smart if you ask me. You see Robert Percival might have been proud of that accomplishment. He might not have appreciated you crediting an invention he had a lot of respect for to him.

So please in future check your facts. Please!

Even if your newspaper is tiny it should respect inventors, your past irishmen (the people you wrongly credited) and Ireland

Because you sure did nobody any favors by getting it wrong.

Your arrogant response to others correcting your mistakes just shows you have no interest in getting History right.

This does not make you cool. This does not raise your street cred.

This just means you have no pride in your own job. You dont care as history professional to give an accurate description of actual history.

There is a time when you can get a fact wrong:

But please if your trying to build your e-Nations image up in the world. Getting facts wrong is simply unacceptable.

Why. Because it leads to doubts about our leadership and ability to govern our imaginative rock near the coast of the yukkies.

Lastly to correct facts is not crazy or mad or anything. It just means there is people that care enough about history, science, journalism and ireland that they consider it prudent to correct you. you will notice chewchewshoe also did.
