So IRL, there's also a Karnataka. Karnataka is a state of India whose capital is Bangalore, known to Americans as the location of the Dell support center. And yes, they do have iron mines there.



The official language of Karnataka is Kannada, or ಕನ್ನಡ as they would write it. And no, it's not Canada. Anyway, Kannada has several interesting looking letters, including one you might be familiar with: ಠ
