[WTP] Tanishq for Party President

Fellow party members,

It’s that season again. As a loyal member of We The People, I have always looked forward to party president elections with anticipation, wondering who would step up to the position next.

This month, however, I find myself on the other side of the election process, asking for your vote of confidence this month in my run for party president of WTP.

Preliminary Term Goals

As your party president, I would continue strengthening the party’s internal structure and improving communications while upholding and refining our party’s ideals by holding thought-provoking discussions and referenda on the issues important to WTP--and the nation--as a whole.

My main three goals for the term are as follows:

1) Revised approach to recruiting
2) Increased media emphasis
3) Increased party activity

Most parties and MUs approach recruitment through a mass-messaging system that reaches new citizens shortly after they join the eRepublik. However, MMing seems to be becoming less relevant in today’s eSociety as fewer active citizens join the eRepublik each day (a trend we all hope to reverse, of course). Until we as a nation are able to boost our numbers, our party will need to find other, more efficient ways to approach recruitment. While WTP is currently working out potential solutions to this problem, these changes will take time to implement. However, I am confident that our recruitment team will achieve stellar results!

In addition, I would like to see much more emphasis placed on the media module this coming term. The media module is one of the foremost methods of communicating ideas and reporting major developments in-game. We should take full advantage of our resources in this area and actively encourage writers both young and old to voice their opinions. To this end, I plan to continue bolstering the WTP Writers Guild (a program seeking to promote excellent, diverse, and non-vote-bought media) while finding new ways to boost our media presence.

Finally, our community seems to be experiencing a lull in activity. To combat this, our retention team will be cooking up new discussion topics, opportunities for participation, and fun events for party members to enjoy. While I hope to strike a balance between in-game and external activity promotion, I would encourage everyone to join our forums for maximum fun!

Closing Statements

Our party has long housed members with incredible talent, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest minds and most caring hearts in the nation during my time in WTP leadership. I hope to continue in our party’s tradition of seeking out and encouraging new leaders and team members and look forward to serving our country with newer citizens and experienced players alike. Together, we can move this party forward. Together, we can change the nation.
