A new face in government?
As you may have surmised from the title, this month I am standing as The Skatalites’ candidate for Prime Minister.
I can hear outraged screams from all over the country already!
“How can you even dream of running for CP of this marvellous country? It’s a job for sensible, serious people!!” barks Mr Bottomscruncher of Middle Wallop.
“You’ve got no experience! You’re new around here! What do you know about running a country???” cries Mrs Wibblethumper of West Knowitallton.
“You’re too hairy! You listen to subversive music!! You’re bum chums with Chaz & Wayne!!!” declares Mr Squiffington-Smythe of Warrington.
All the above comments from the concerned members of the eUK public (who may or may not actually exist) are valid.
However I can be serious when it matters. I am, on occasion, sensible.
I have absolutely no experience in government in the eUK though. However I have lived in the other UK all my life and have read stuff and errrmmm….watched things too.
So all in all, what I am saying here is, I can probably blag it and not bugger it up as much as other candidates might.
I will put forth my plans for my term in another article, but I thought I’d give you some general points that might sway you to my corner first.

I’m a man who takes things in his stride. I’m someone who likes to bring in new ideas, have some fun and most importantly of all, listen to some tip top tunes along the way.
Now some of you may immediately be afraid that I’m only all about the ska music which I have no problem shamelessly promoting. Some may say that’s bad manners but I say no, that’s madness!
I am also absolutely at home bringing ska punk, ska rock, ska pop and even ska metal to the musical table too. So do not fret that I’ll be one dimensional in my leadership. I’m an equal opportunities kind of guy.
To paraphrase that crazy old coot Henry Ford, you can have my CP term in any guise you want, as long as it’s ska.

Ladies and Gentlemen this is your next CP!
If I learnt anything from my recent PP campaign and my CP campaign.... don't say you have no promises because you don't want to disappoint people, and don't give realistic achievable aims. Base your campaign on saying you'll convince Plato to restore the British Empire by granting us loads of new regions that we historically owned. It won't happen, but if you shout it loud and often enough, I reckon you can fool people into it. If you need a credible (hah!) patsy to say you're telling the truth, I come pretty cheap

quite close, but you should have promised a poor mandidate, and then you wouldn't have dissapointed (nor surprised) anyone.
Nobody cares what you think. Nobody useful anyway... got more votes than you did Alpha, more minister terms under my belt too even though I'm a lazy git. That's because I'm worth something, and you're not.
