Announcement:

Presidential Hopefuls for June 5th

This month’s CP elections will prove to be both interesting and exciting, and many eUS citizens are eagerly looking forward to entering the voting booths on June 5th to cast a vote for their candidate of choice. Three front-runners have emerged. Trekker has made his intentions known: he is seeking his third consecutive term as CP/D of the eUS. SColbert, former SoH and current VP has also announced his intentions of running for CP. A third candidate, Greeling, has also announced his intentions. Primaries should be occurring across all Top 10 parties currently, and the results of these primaries will most likely be determined within the next 2 days.

Remember, voting opens for 24 hours on June 5th, starting at 0:00 Erepublik time. Every citizen is encouraged to GOTV and come to the polls!

Tl;dr?
President Trekker announced that he would seek a third consecutive term as CP/D of the eUS. Trekker is a 2-time CP, 3-time former Fed PP, and 15-time Congress Critter, with other various qualifications as well. He announced that he would name his current Secretary of Interior, BeachBunny, his new VP, and named Wild Owl as his new Chief of Staff. All other cabinet members: ViKy KC (DoS), Garmr (DoD), Blande (DoE), and Tom Cauchon (DoM) will remain the same through this term.

Tl;dr?
SColbert, the sitting VP of the eUS announced that he would seek his first CP election in his career. A 2-time former Speaker of the House, 2-time former USWP PP, and former Cabinet member in several different administrations, SColbert has decided to run against Trekker this month. He has named Hale26 as his USAF CO, placing USAF’s affairs at the top of his platform. He also tapped TheMike (Current CoS) as his VP and BeachBunny as his CoS. All other cabinet members are pending.

Tl;dr?
Greeling has announced his intentions of running for CP, claiming that Erepublik has died, and it is time for some fun. Greeling has stated that his term as CP will be exiciting, chaotic and fun. All cabinet positions are pending.



Presidential Wedding

I remember when President Trekker first made the announcement that he was going to be eMarried to BeachBunny. I’ve never been a fan of this eWedding stuff. I almost felt a bit weird about the whole thing. But then Trekker said something that really made the whole things a bit different. He acknowledged that the whole thing was a bit silly and ridiculous and that it was ok to feel that way about it. But, he added, the world could use some more silliness and ridiculousness. And I couldn’t agree more.

After being unsure of whether I would be able to attend the ceremony, I caught a lucky break in RL and was able to atten. Aramec and Blande did an excellent job organizing the event on May 30th, and the ceremony was quite frankly, beautiful.

President Trekker and BeachBunny chose to write their own vows, and they were simply stunning. BeachBunny prepared a beautiful slideshow set to Christina Perri’s hit song “A Thousand Years” which moved some of the audience to tears. President Trekker prepared a short, yet beautiful, piece that paid tribute to those things that cannot be described using words, including his love for BeachBunny.

The eWedding concluded with everyone heading to the open bar and the afterparty for some adult beverages.
