Join the new world

Dear fellow Dutchmen,

We play together in a game that has a lot of aspects, yet people keep claiming this is a war game. It is true that the majority of those aspects are there to support a war. Everything you possess is to become a stronger soldier or to accumulate more weapons to fight with. But the very fact that you have the ability to fight for another country makes it clear that there is a world beyond just fighting to protect our regions and conquer new ones like you do with a game of risk.

Players play this game for various reasons. Some want to fight with their countrymen. Some join this game for the politics and others to build up their personal economic empire. I haven't even mentioned the newspaper you have to support all those different goals, while it can also be a goal in itself as there are many famous newspapers.

Lately we have heard a lot of a growing faction that is opting for fighting for our flag. That seems like a bad development, pushing for their value in this game means that other value's will shrink or become impossible like diplomacy with other countries, a place in congress, state finances, etc.

We should work together in our country. Try to reach your own goals, but don't let them spoil the game for others.


Today we will be voting for the configuration of our congress for next month. Let's hope it is a congress that can work together for our country.
