[UKRP]Great Scott! Polar Daves letter home

Day 3,752, 11:11 Published in United Kingdom Indonesia by Brathasena

Dear Mum,

It’s been a rough week since I found land and went ashore. Just as I figured out how to use my compass, a terrible storm struck and took me far off my course. Luckily, when the storm cleared I had land in sight and steered towards it. I am pretty sure this is not where I planned to start my expedition, however I am far on my way to glory and success.

It did not take long before I found my first little gem of treasure. Hidden behind silver cover was something that the outside described as SPAM. And mum… OMG, this is the best thing I have tasted my entire life! Tons better than grandpas fermented herrings! Unfortunately, shortly after I was surrounded by a pack of Huskies and had to use parts of it trying to get away from them.

One of the Huskies turned out to be quite sociable though. Or perhaps she just assumed I had more SPAM on me. Anyways, we bonded fairly quickly, and she has now become my travel companion. I must admit that I have become extremely homesick, so I called my new travel companion Grandma Edna, Edna for short.

I started out going south, or so I believe. I still cant really figure out this compass, the arrow keeps moving all the time… but I have since turned around hope to be going northwards towards the direction of my boat. I am terribly lost to be honest, and there is snow and white as far as I can see. Grandma Edna seems to know where she is going though, so I’ll continue just to follow her.

I miss you all terribly though. Especially you mum! I did not know who much you really meant to me before spending all this time apart from you.

You’ll hear from me again soon!
Lots of love from your little Davey boy!
