[UKRP] Cash prizes, Fataliix betting on the gee-gees and another PP election

Fighting the battle of who could care less...

'Ello everyone.

When apathy rears its ugly head, it's sometimes hard not to get sucked in too. We all know the eWorld and the eUK are not what they used to be, but for some reason we are still here.

I began my month's reign as UK Reform Party Overlord full of zing, zang and a little zippadeedoo. I even wrote an article! This was to be the start of something cool, something a bit waa and a bit woo...but unfortunately it fizzled out.

In this article I'm going to provide you with some updates, some campaigning plus attempt to, once again, persuade a few of you to write some words.

Congress

It was a poor month for the UKRP at the polling booths. Despite my cajoling we actually dropped a seat from the previous month which cut me deep. I was inconsolable for a week and I even started shedding some fur. It was an emotional time.

I'm hoping for better results next time around.

Give a wookie a hug, they might need it

Sir Applebum roars to victory

After the disappointing Congressional elections, we at the UKRP thought we'd cheer ourselves up by putting forward a candidate for Country President.

There were resounding cheers and whoops for Sir Hump when the Reform Party membership were told the veteran politician was throwing his hat into the ring once more.

It turned out that Fataliix had also just announced drinks all round at the bar after a big win on the nags, so we thought we'd better actually poll people about our CP candidate choice!

The results were unanimous though with 100% of those who voted, voting for Applecart. Admittedly only twelve of the (at the time) 25 members of the party voted, but that's a win in my book. And of course SHA took over 70% of the vote at the CP elections, which was nice.

Apathy is everywhere...

Vote for me again....go on, you know you want to

The next election coming up is the party presidency and it would be remiss of me not to do a bit of campaigning...especially as I have been attempting to promote more articles by UKRP members.

So what can you expect of a second Wook term?

I will attempt to get more people on our Congress candidates list, more people voting for those candidates and hopefully this time at least one other party member promoting the party through an article.

So "Vote Wook" again and give me a reason to sing.

Mustn't forget about the NHS!

A quick mention of the NHS before I go. There appear to have been a few newer faces around recently. If you are new and would like some assistance with food, then speak to this lovely lady, Madelina de Melrose. They supply food to any eUK citizen under level 35, so definitely worth getting in touch with her!

Oh, hang on...was there a competition running?

Yes, yes there was.

All I demanded requested was for people to write an article extolling the virtues of the UKRP in any way, shape or form they wanted to.

Unfortunately nobody took part. Not a single person. Absolutely nobody wanted to be Wook's Big Winner and be showered with CASH! Well to make sure I don't lose all hope, I will continue to run this competition for a further month, whether or not I am voted in as Party President again. Get writing!

Right, see you around,
