Join the new world

Our glorious leader has seen fit to appoint me to the position of Deputy Glorious Leader, so this month my role is to bring shiny new things, and polish the old so that it at least looks new.

Through a process known as the Appleby we at TUP are also recycling the old and shamelessly claiming it as some sort of new phenomenon. So without further ado, let me outline a few changes that the party has undertaken in terms of its internal structure.

Firstly as Party President, Paul will be adopting a more Presidential role, in that he will be the face of the party. His main tasks involve choosing which tasks to delegate to who, to avoid burnout towards the end of the month. This decision was taken to avoid a situation known as Appleby'ing your Appleby, whereby you start the month with all cylinders raring to go, bringing back those good ol' days, but after about 7 hours soon realise there are other games where you can waste your hours building nonsense that some will pay attention to, and the rest actively try to destroy.

The role of Deputy, this month occupied by yours truly is focused on internal discussions within the party. These discussions are aligned with the normal CP Election procedure; one group each for the topics of Domestics, Economics and Military/Foreign Affairs. These groups will be explained in more detail in the second half of this article, for now anyone interested in getting involved can get in touch with me here.

Secretary General as a role is focused on the continuation of the party, and as such will be responsible for working with the President in relation to elections. They will run primaries on the 13th/14th so as to ensure we have a Unity candidate, avoiding the risk of pesky BigAnts getting into the soup. They will also work with the PP throughout the Congress/CP election cycles to ensure our party is well represented, and ensure that our members are aware of any developments should we decide to support candidates from another party. This month the role will be held by Madelina and Dougal.

Finally the role of Spokesman is somewhat self explanatory. Karacticus and Aultman will be responsible for entertaining you with sacrificial slaughter, spamming the media with pointless drivel, saying something to someone about this one time something happened.




The gist of it all is that Paul, his leadership team and all of us involved in TUPAC have set this month as the beginning of our turn around, the UK needs a strong party to get it back on its feet, and we at TUP believe that as a party with a long and proud history of leading the UK, that party should be us.

Now, on to the group messages. These will be a method of ensuring that every TUP member who wishes to has a say in the development and delivery of our policy. These groups will be organised into three to begin with, and potentially expanded later depending on demand.

- Domestics will focus on how we as a country should interact with each other.

- Economics will look at the state of our resources, our tax income and look at finding a suitably balanced tax structure that generates satisfactory income for the Government, without taking too much from the normal man.

- Foreign Affairs / Defence is just as easy to understand; it will focus on how our damage as a country is controlled and look at ways of improving this process, which countries or alliances we align ourselves with, and as always, discussing the 'position' our country has in the eWorld.


All of these groups will be open to any TUP members who wish to take part in the discussions; there is no limit on how many you can join, nor is there any requirement for you to do/say anything if you do not wish to. Simply let me know you want to be involved, and you'll be involved.

The groups will all have experienced serving or ex ministers on hand to offer their insight and advice within the parameters of the discussion, but everyone's voice within the groups will as always, be treated equally. If you want to shape our policy, or simply just want to see how we as a party do things, or even if you just want to learn more about the game these groups will be a fantastic resource for you.
