[TDBM] Cordis F@#k'in Die Best MU in eCanada

Day 2,326, 10:02 Published in Canada Canada by crisfire

The following is an interview I did with Cordis Die's creator and Commander, Flashgun. This interview was probably done before Christmas, so I've been sitting on it for awhile but felt it was still relevant due to the total package that Cordis Die is. It boasts the best supplies in eCanada and is from top to bottom the most organized and destructive MU in eCanada, Im not making that up, check the stats.

- How did Cordis Die get started?

- Cordis Die started a little before 1829 but officially started after I closed Rylde’s Roughnecks which I commanded for a short time. Being the commander of RR was tough, supplies needed to be delivered to our members, but I didn’t have the infrastructure in place to produce supplies, so I was using gold/cc to buy it. Buying tanks meant I couldn’t buy any Rubber or saltpeters, so ultimately, I decided that I would close up RR, and move to a new MU with Insaneskillz as my 2nd in command. This new MU would be built with the intention of staying sustainable and only accepting the amount of members we could support without having to buy tanks.

We noticed that a lot of MUs were unsustainable, either depending on government funding in the past, or running an MU using the credit cards of a few members. Eventually the well runs dry and those MUs shut down. We wanted to create an MU that wouldn’t spend beyond its means, and would only allow the amount of members we were able to support. I think we’ve accomplished that with Cordis Die, where in a little over a year we’ve managed to build a supply system which boasts 5 Q7 factories and over 250 rubber plants and 50+ saltpeters. It takes a lot of time to do what we’ve done, but by doing that and working slowly we are able to attract some of the best fighters and dish out some of the best supplies in eCanada and in the world.

- Can you give me a brief history of Cordis Die including how it got its name

- When we decided to buy this MU I was playing a lot of Call of Duty, and Cordis Die was an enemy faction in the Black Ops II, and the idea just attracted me. I read the wiki page for Cordis Die, and it was something I wanted to build an MU to be. A few excerpts from the wiki that seemed to fit with what I was imagining-
"Cordis Die has an extremely large military arm within its organization capable of challenging the might of the superpowers around the world.”

"Cordis Die's ideology attracted elite agents in most of the world's top organizations and communities, including many special forces units and intelligence agencies.“

“Cordis Die's international organization managed to recruit and equip large amounts of extremely well-trained operators from their massive political movement and gathered millions of unemployed former soldiers as well as civilians, such as the Mercs and Militia.”

- Where do you see Cordis Die going in the future?

- In the near future I see Cordis Die becoming and staying the #1 MU in eCanada in both total kills and damage. I would like to see us be in the top 50 MUs ranking regularly in the eWorld, but I think we’re still a ways from achieving that. I see us becoming a magnet for some of the strongest, most active fighters in the eWorld, we’ve already managed to attract some strong non-eCanadians, and I see our role in eCanada working to expand that population.

In a game where politics seem to play a big part, I think we continue to forget that it’s MUs that win the wars. We saw it in the US, and more recently hit home with the RWs against Spain that ultimately brought our 4 provinces back under eCanadian control a few months ago.

- Any plans to expand?

- We’re always looking to expand. We’re capable of handling 45 members at this time, and if all of our slave pits were running at full speed could handle 50. It’s tough finding people with Q7 factories that you can trust, and won’t take your money and run.. so I’ve been very careful on who I support with the building of Rubber Plants. We’ve got 4 guys that are helping out right now, if those are the only 4 I can find, that’ll be it 🙂

I’ve also been thinking of starting another MU, which would be general access with no requirements but still upholding the principles of sustainability and activity. It’s in its initial stages and probably won’t be ready for a long time. I’ve been advised not hold off on it so I don’t burn myself out.

- What’s going on internally with Cordis Die?

- In the past we held a MU draft and filled our two regiments. We selected two captains and like any professional sports draft we had them both select the members they want in their MU and will then pit the two regiments we have against one another in friendly internal competitions.

Other than that we’re continuing to expand our operations, recruit new members and there have been internal conversations around avatar/tag upgrading... we’ll see where that goes I guess.

Just want to send a quick shoutout to the members of our MU, who continue to sit in the trenches with me while I stink up the place 😉
