Dear America,
You may have read my recent article about the ONE HUNDRED GOLD CONTEST that I'm sponsoring. The basic gist is that you make a 30 second video that I can use as a commercial for eRepublik, I send you 50 Q7 tanks for your time, and you're entered in the running for a ONE HUNDRED GOLD grand prize, and a 1,000 Q7 TANKS second prize.

I am now proud to announce my "Hollywood Squares" PANEL OF ELITES!
Holding down the top left hand corner of the square is three time former CP Artela.
Flanked by ladies on both sides is SecTres, EC Chairman, and former Cypriot CP Kemal Ergenekon.
To his right, two term former CP Molly Emma.
Starting our second row is .5 term CP and current SecInt Civil Anarchy.
I of course, dominate the center, 6x former CP Oblige.
At my right hand is my #1 eSon and 2x former CP Wild Owl.
Forming our foundational left square is 2x CP and grumpy Gus Israel Stevens.

Terms and Conditions:
1.) The offer is open to any eAmerican citizen, but if you are a forig you can still compete for the grand and runner up prizes. (I'm only giving out the 50 participatory tanks to Americans though).
2.) The contest will be open for TWO weeks. Submissions will close at the end of reset NEXT Sunday. Submissions that are received after the deadline will not be eligible for either the 50 tank participation gift or the grand prize. If it is TOTALLY AWESOME and I have not yet given out the other prizes, you may be eligible for the second place price.
3.) The 100 gold will be given (in gold) over the course of ten days. This means that you won't be able to convert gold on the monetary market during those days.
4.) The videos can't feature profanity, nudity, racism, or any sort of general indecency that would prohibit me using them in an advertisement. If yours does, you won't get anything from submitting it.
5.) By submitting a video in this contest you're signing over the copyright for it and all of that stuff. The winners (and anyone with a good video) will have to sign something more official before receiving their prize. To be clear- you are giving me your stuff in exchange for for virtual pretend money and goods.

I feel like 100g is not enough, given the saddening field of entries so far. Either people do it because they want to, that doesn't seem to be the case, or they do it because they get rewarded, but apparently the incentive isn't significant enough.
I'm giving people some time to submit entries- it's only been 3 days so far. I suppose if we don't get enough by the end of the first week I might sweeten the pot a bit.
I agree about the prize needing to be larger. I thought about what it was going to take me to make one of these, then I thought about what 100G is worth. I passed.
Not that Oblige isn't doing something great here. I was just agreeing about the prize being too small.

Shame my video skills stop at being able to time subtitles, typeset text, and make simple karaoke in aegisub.
RacoonGoon, trust me when i say those are all the skills that are needed.
Nah, I don't know much about actually encoding and editing videos. I was pretty much just the guy who managed subtitles.
(I used to do timing, editing, and quality control for a notoriously slow fansub group. lol)

100 gold isn't enough to motivate any real video editor to even start up their program. I can show you some videos I've done while freelancing, and make one for you but not for 100g..
It's for the community, 100g is just an incentive to get them to help out.
If I wanted to get a professional video editor to do it, I would've just commissioned one of the many advertising companies I work with IRL.
