[POTUS] A War and Foreign Policy Update

Day 2,995, 10:40 Published in USA USA by Azazel Romanov

Hello again America,

I write to you with even more good news. If you have been paying attention to the ongoing wars, you will see that the tide has shifted quite a bit. Due to the efforts of Latvia, Greece, the United States, and our allies, the Bulgarian war effort against the USA has been grinded to a halt. After posting up big wins against us in Hokkaido and Chubu against the Latvian airstrike, Bulgaria boasted that it was unstoppable. They were claiming that Greece and USA would be no match, and that they’d be vacationing in Alaska. Naturally, I waited patiently for their amphibious assault.

Either Bulgarians are poor swimmers, or they just decided to let us have the win, because we rolled them in Alaska without a ton of effort. Alongside this, Greece pressed its assault on Bulgaria and FYROM’s cores while we effectively knocked them out of Japan with Resistance Wars and even took a few regions in India along with this.

FYROM was stopped in Canada. Bulgaria was stopped in Japan. Neither of them took a single American region. The only regions we lost were fights against Indonesia and Chile that we entirely ignored, and even with that we still almost won California. Overall, this was a good war for us. They liberated Indonesia from us at a high cost.

Which leads me to my next point. While this may disappoint some of you, we are leaving Indonesia. Congress is currently approving an NAP that will last for one month. They will claim victory in liberating Indonesia for sure, but they didn’t get to inflict the full punishment on us that they expected. Chile is stuck in the islands and Bulgaria and FYROM have their hands full at home. Continuing the fight into Indonesia would only prolong this war into the next Presidential term, and would earn us little strategic value other than more bragging rights. We’ll still have all of our cores while FYROM and Bulgaria have posted considerable losses.

This will be my final main act as President. I didn’t expect to become elected and fight a major war, but I am glad the results turned out quite well given the situation. I want to personally thank my national defense team for their combined efforts and personal contributions, our allies in Greece, Latvia, and Argentina, who each assisted us greatly in the war, as well as every single Pacifica and allied soldier who put their fights down for USA in key battles. Your efforts turned my expectations of a long protracted war into a winning blitz. The week of sleepless nights for me was worth the show. Remember that Greece is still engaged in the war, so offer any support you can to their wars with FYROM and Bulgaria. For now, I simply look to the horizon.

This Presidential term has had a profound impact upon me. Whether or not that is for the better will probably be up for debate. An unforeseen situation. An unexpected turn of events. In the face of those, you too will face your true self. It has allowed me to see how fully the game has changed since my last term of service two years ago. It also has presented me what might be in store for the future. This may not be my final Presidential update, but if so, it's been a good time, America.
