Caros cidadãos,

Dirijo-me a vocês hoje novamente como o novo Ministro dos Negócios Estrangeiros. É com muito prazer que desempenharei este cargo pela 6ª vez, o que demonstra que há satisfação pelo trabalho efetuado na área dos Negócios Estrangeiros.

Há a esperança que este seja o mandato da mudança, onde vão haver as grandes revoluções a nível geopolítico e se tal esteja para acontecer, iremos sempre fazer o que acharmos melhor para o nosso país mantendo-nos junto dos nossos aliados mais próximos e fazendo novas (frutíferas esperemos) amizades.



Sem mais espera apresento a equipa que irá gerir o Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros para o mês de Janeiro.

Os objetivos que irão reger a atividade do MoFA serão os seguintes:

> Aproximação a novos países (ex: Canadá e México) que permitam alargar o lote de aliados nacionais (não necessariamente com assinatura de MPP). As aproximações estão dependentes das relações que os países tiverem com os nossos aliados. É um grande objetivo reforçar a posição diplomática do país;

> Continuação das boas relações com CUA+B, Turquia, Roménia e França;

> Assinatura de MPP’s que consideremos úteis para o país. Estando sem regiões, a nossa política será de assinar apenas MPP’s com os países mais próximos (Argentina, Colômbia, Uruguai, Bolívia, Roménia e Turquia);

> Avaliação do estado atual da TWO. Não iremos tomar nenhuma posição pro-TWO nem contra TWO, apenas ajudaremos os nossos amigos independentemente da sua aliança.

> Não negociaremos qualquer tipo de pacto de não agressão com Espanha.

Fellow citizens,

I write to you today, yet again, as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs. It is with great pleasure that I will carry this title for the 6th time, which shows that there is satisfaction with the work done in the area of Foreign Affairs.

There is hope that this will be the term of changes, where there will be great changes at geopolitical level and if this is to happen, we will always do what we think it’s best for our country, keeping us amongst our closest allies and making new (and hopefully prosperous) friendships.



With no further delay I’ll introduce the team that will manage the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the month of January.

The objectives that will serve as guidelines for the operation of our ministry are:

> Approach new countries (such as Canada and Mexico) while expanding the batch of national allies (not necessarily signing MPP’s). These approaches are dependent on the relationships which those countries have with our allies. It's our biggest goal to strengthen the diplomatic position of our country;

> Continuation of the good relations with CUA+B, Turkey, Romania and France;

> Signature of MPP's that we consider useful for the country. Being without regions, our policy is to sign MPP’s only with our closest friends (Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Bolivia, Romania and Turkey);

> Evaluation of the current state of TWO. We will neither take a pro-TWO or against-TWO stance, and we wil always help our friends regardless of their alliance

> We will not negotiate any kind of non-aggression pact with Spain.
