[MoFA] The TETAS PACT Explained

Day 2,448, 07:04 Published in Australia Australia by Australian Foreign Affairs

Many of you including myself would like to get eChile out of our country. This is an extremely difficult thing to accomplish and I will tell you some of the reasons: First of all you have to be aware of the TETAS PACT. This agreement was signed by South American countries right after the TWO alliance collapsed. The agreement had its origins when Chile and Argentina got fed up with taking orders all these years from the European powers, and they felt that they were being used. Chile and Argentina were constantly fighting against each other for years on end, and it was decided by both countries that they were fed up with the same war and it seemed to be a waste of damage. So as a result a few months before the fall of TWO both Argentina and Chile signed an Non Aggression Pact (NAP). This enabled them to focus their damage outside of South America and conquer more regions for bonuses without having to worry about getting attacked by each other.

So this NAP lead to the TETAS PACT which was formed just before the fall of TWO. The original members were: eArgentina, eChile, eBolivia, eColombia, eUruguay and eVenezuela.

Since theneParaguay and eBrazil have now become members of the PACT, and apparently eCuba were meant to be joining too. This is the reason why eArgentina and eBrazil refuse to attack eChile directly.

This PACT is basically a huge Non Aggression Pact (NAP) between the members (but includes war games and other agreements within) in which members are not allowed to directly attack each other. So this is the reason why you are seeing eChile do whatever they want, why they have more bonuses than ever before in eChile's history, and why they are running a muck and no one is able to stop them. A few days ago, there were about 7 RWs against Chile, barely even one was able to win, because Chile has Aurora and Sirius backing them, plus the support of TETAS, and many players of TETAS backed countries are not interested in fighting against Chile even indirectly.

The agreement also discusses that if one of the members is attacked in its core regions, all members must defend against the attacker. So in theory if a member of Asteria attacks Chile's core regions directly, some of Asteria's allies who are TETAS members are supposed to defend Chile... Not even a powerful Asteria country would be able to Airstrike Chile and wipe them with a x2 influence bonus like Chile did to eSerbia and eRomania when they won it a few weeks ago from the tournament.. They just have too many forces behind them. This TETAS Pact is really hurting non South American Asteria and LETO members. It seems to be only gaining more popularity in South America. This pact could ultimately lead to the fall of the current alliances.
