Dear Friends and Allies,
Yesterday eSpain had decided to launch NE law against ePortugal.
No further warning. Just….
ePortugal have been working for quite some time in the possibility to get on board of TWO/ACT. We’ve been proTWO since early this year. We’ve established good relations with TWO nations, and proTWO nations. We help when and where needed.
Although all this effort, there has been always the need to strengthen ties with eSpain, as closest neighbor, and as the ones who will clearly benefit more from ePortugal joining TWO.
This effort, was achieved slightly, since March, with the signing of successive NAP’s that allowed eSpain to maintain control of ePortugal core regions for free, and keeping ePortugal “quiet” in its corner, with no borders whatsoever, and with no goals, either than an AS.
TWO long time ago had understood that will be beneficial to the entire alliance, that one of the strongest members could turn its focus to other global objectives.
No good. Last month, eSpain last proposal of NAP to ePortugal was another treaty of surrender - no borders, possibility of a “no veto” stand from eSpain in ePortugal joining ACT and leave your longtime friends and allies behind. Be our puppet. Be ours.
ePortugal could not accept this.
eSpain has no right to decide with who will ePortugal establish bounds. CUA are our Brothers. CUA is our feeling. We cannot accept that a NAP between ePortugal and eSpain would somehow involve CUA.
But why would eSpain would like to include CUA in this agreement? Because they say, even being proTWO, those countries are enemies of eSpain, and they want ePortugal to veto, or be a puppet, any attempt of them to get into TWO.
We are no puppets.
We have honor.
Not accepting such agreement last month, have implied that eSpain would not expect to reach new agreement this month, since they are not available to modify it anyway.
Now it is war!
However, we understand that this is also a test and a call for betrayal to our allies and friends.
eSpain is giving a real opportunity to our friends and allies to join fight, so that they could say - “They are fighting for ePortugal - They are enemies of eSpain”
ALLIES AND FRIENDS, ePortugal could never jeopardize your own best interest. We could not ever dive you into such betrayal!! We know the risks here. We know eSpain backstabbing moves.
We ask to our allied Nations not to assume official positions on this conflict between ePortugal and eSpain, in order to not compromise your own alignment with TWO. That is what they want and need..
Let them try!
We might be alone and small, but we will fight!!
We will have fun!!

Spain at the last minute, after an agreement been made, showed up with a last demand, that Portugal should drop MPP with CUA and help Spain to veto and keep them away from TWO.

There was a deal on the table, accepted by both parts, then at the last minute, spanish gov decided to include another point to it, that Portugal should drop MPPs with CUA, and help Spain to veto them into TWO.
We of course refused it, and it would never been approved in congress.

There was no closed deal. The first day there was an approach by both governments to write a draft of the deal, and the meeting was carried on to a different day when the final version of the deal was proposed.
Don't try to deny the legitimacy of our proposal just because it suits you to do so. So please stop those lies and hypocrisy.

Then you popped up suddenly with the CUA issue.
