[MoF] Begining of term
JetiShumadinac
Greetings eJapans citizens.
I am appointed for Minister of Finances (Governer) this month, and i will try to do my best for eJapans economy this month
🙂
As i have been appointed yesterday i immediately get acess for all organisations from former vMoF Hideyoshi Nicolas.
BALANCE
Situation on organisations was very good when i open them at first.
We have around 520,000 of currency and 1425 golds.
I will try to earn more money trough buying and selling currency and gold by optimal course.
Tax Revenue
We dont have lot income from taxes, our economy isnt that strong.
As you can see that is aroun 400cc every day.
Last month it was some rumors that eRoC and eRussia will return us taxes for our regions for some kind of compensation, we will see what will happend with that.
But even if that is true, we will have additional 350cc per day.
Currently their is law for raising Import tax for Food from 1% to 25%
After this food prices will be probably little higher, and our tax revenue will be little higher but that is not big difference.
If we really get tax return from RoC and Russia, later we can also set little higher other Import taxes.
As we dont have lot of resources we will not change VAT and Work tax for now.
Expenditures
For now i get report from MoSA so for that ministry is going 10,000 of currency this month.
I wanted also to ask other minister (MoCH,MoE, MoD) if they need budget to send me message and inform me for their needs.
We have also signed MPP with eCanada few days ago.
Also if we will sign some more MPPs, MoFA or CP needs to inform me earlier about that so i could transfer money to country treasure.
For my oppinion we can afford 2-3 more MPPs this month.
That is all for now, i hope that in next article i can give good news about finances
🙂

Just to clarify, there is no reason to expect food price increase for Q1--Q5, because the domestic supply is sufficient. The possible rise might occur for higher qualities.
Food prices have dropped significantly this month. By "no reason to expect food price increase," do you mean they will not rise back too the former level??
There are many factors to the price, what I meant - and what I think the article meant - was just the impact of taxes by themselves. I personally believe the prices will stabilize at the former level.

Shouldn't you put the issue of taxes up for discussion?
It was up for discussion in congress, and the majority was in favor. The import tax does not influence our citizens' companies, so it seems more practical to test it in action, rather than waste time on long public debates. Of course, if this causes problems and public unrest, it could easily be reverted.
I don't remember work tax being thoroughly discussed.
Which is why work tax has not been changed.
This article makes it sound as if it's already been decided.
Ah, yes it sounds like that. I think it is an unfortunate wording. For me it just reflects the fact that consensus on WT was not reached, so it remained the same. But still open for debate/vote.
To be correct, Russia never said that they will return the taxes, yesterday ROC CP told me that they will return ~7000cc from February, and he will contact our MoFA/CP.
And I don't know exactly what is going on in Russia with the coup war, but this month government definitely should contact ROC & Russia about our two regions.
To be correct, Russia did say they would return the taxes.
Then I apologize, I haven't been informed about that.
I just write what i read at government message 😉
I'm not a government member, and didn't know if the new one is already put together, so I wrote it to the congress thread to let the people know it.

A good article, but I'm not filled with confidence so far by this government. It's just too silent.
