[MoE] - So You Want to Make Some Money

The resource wars are upon us and the eRepublik admins promise us to revolutionize the economy by introducing a new industry. Right....Well until that happens; here are some tips for new players on how to make some cash.

1. The Real Economic Module is the Military Module

As things stand today, money is made mainly through fighting. And so, your major long term goal should be becoming stronger. Here's a guide on the subject. A strong soldier can better hunt for medals and make a good living by getting paid for dealing damage (through combat orders).

Also, one must remember that for every 250 strength points gained, you get a super soldier medal (5G). If your Q1 TG is fully upgraded, this will do for a nice income.

2. Commune

Whether you are actively fighting or not, Irish Army supplies will always give you much more than the highest paying job in the Market

3. Get a House

If you decided to work at the free market, check the option of buying a Q1 house. Most of the time, Q1 houses can be bought for less than 7 times the market salary. If this is true, buy a house, work twice every day, and turn in a profit.

4. Write

Write, buy a newspaper and write. The more you write creative, engaging articles, the greater the prospect of getting endorsed by Irish veteran players. Ireland loves its skilled writers; you can easily make 200-300cc off a good article from endorsements.

5. Vote for Money

There a very few true business models in eRepublik, one of them is the voters club. These guys will pay you for voting articles and subscribing to newspapers. It's a bit tedious, but if you're persistent, you can make 50cc a day near the height of election cycles.

6. Produce?

Basically, the economic module is broken, the companies you get when you start playing are worthless, dissolve them and enjoy the cash. If you're thinking long-term, the only reasonable option at the moment is investing in WRM companies, probably the Aluminum Mine. If you WAM (work as manager) every day, you'll get a return for your money in just over a year (and some unneeded XP points). Yeah, it sucks; I wouldn't waste my time on it. Better to wait until the promised "economic revolution hits" us. Oh, and whatever you do don't employ anyone, just WAM.

7.Buy Low, Sell High

Playing the eRepublik markets is an art. It has to do with predicting trends in gold, weapon and food prices. Not recommended for new players. But if you'll study the gold pattern and pile up weapons just before major wars or tournaments start, you might make a few IEPs. Be very careful when trying this, start small.

8. Look for community opportunities

Somebody is always organizing a competition or a raffle somewhere in the New World. You can check the Irish MoC, Clopoyaur's stream, the official eRepublik contest threads , eRepublik's Facebook page and more...someone is always ready to reward you for enthusiasm, attention and activity.
