[MoDA] Summary and A Winner Announced!

Day 1,599, 09:47 Published in South Africa Canada by Damien Wolf

When Steven Bosch asked me if i'd be interested to be the Minister of Domestic Affairs 30 days ago. I wasn't sure about it. I didn't know if I would have the time, or if i would be able to be consistent. Or frankly if i even had what it took to be MoDA.

But after 30 days my term as the Minister of Domestic Affairs has come to an end and i'd like to think i wasnt too bad at it, there could be improvements surely, but all in all i am happy with how things went. It was an interesting term, i'd like to thank Steven Bosch for giving me the opportunity, Heart Throb, Don Vin, Zagarius, Wilpanzer,The.Raptor and countless others who helped me out during the past 30 days.
Mentor Program

Lets lend a helping hand

I would like to thank all the members who signed up for being Mentors, it was an initiative that was re - started this term, so if you haven't received any recruits please let the new MoDA know, i will be handing over the spreadsheet to the new Minister as soon as i know who it is.

New Player Program - Transvaal Kommando

NPP and TK - Back and better than ever!
When the term started, NPP wasn't running, but after spending hours on IRC talking to our CP and Wilpanzer, we finally got the program running and it came back stronger than before. We were able to get government funding and i hope the government continues its support, because eSA's future Gods of War are the ones in Transvaal Kommando.

I would like to thank Wilpanzer, who has spent countless hours working on this and who has (most of the time) spent his own money for supplies.

o7 to a great man and a true patriot.

Congressional Awareness Program

A lot to learn
Rico Suave gave me the idea and inspiration for this one. He as the PP of PSU has always educated the congressional candidates of the party to the do's and dont's of congress.

This term, MoDA decided to take it up as its duty towards all congressmen to inform them about the laws and protocols. A message outlining some basic guidelines and useful links was sent to every congressman at the start of the term. I believe it has reduced the need for the much hated "censure" procedure this term and i am proud of that.

Competitions

Everyone can participate!

Ministry of Domestic Affairs was able to hold two competitions this term, one focusing the game mechanics and the other to increase the participation and awareness about our forums.

Rillian Thomas won the "Write an Article about eSouth Africa" Contest. He received 100Q6 tanks as the prize.

The second competition held in our forums was a VERY hard one to judge. The CP and myself tried judging it, and i dont joke when i say it took us quite a long time (and a bit of help from Ronell aswell, thanks!) to decide the winner.

And the winner of the 5 Gold Forum Competition is....*drum roll please*...
K9 Jazzpur
For those who didn't read the thread, the aim of the competition was to find a picture, a video or a song that described who you were in erepublik as accurately as possible.

There were many great entries and we had a tough time to decide a winner.

K9's winning entry was:

Congrats on the win, and well done to ALL contestants, i cant tell you how hard it was to pick a winner.

Best Member of The Ministry

Well Done!
The award for the Best Member of The Ministry of Domestic Affairs goes to:

WILPANZER1!!!! There was really no doubt to be absolutely honest. No one(myself included) works harder than Wil, and it was by far the easiest decision to make when it came to picking the winner.

Congrats Wil, Enjoy the 5k ZAR, dont spend it all on one place!
That about sums it up, it was a fun term, a role that i thoroughly enjoyed. And i wish the next Minister of Domestic Affairs all the best, its a valuable ministry especially in a country like eSouth Africa.

I will be spamming your media next month aswell but more on that later.

So for one last time,
This is me signing off,
Damien Wolf
Minister of Domestic Affairs
