Hello there, I'm Joseph Rich, also known as JR. I've been playing eRepublik since September 2009, making me quite old (in this game at least). I have been through 4 countries whilst in eRepublik, including eSouth Africa, eAustralia, the UK and of course, Switzerland. I have been here since November last year (with another period in 2012). I have worked behind the scenes most of the time, managing the forums and doing other work for our CP's. I am a political player, with 27 congress medals and hoping to get my first CP medal. I was previously the Minister for Home Affairs in Uros' cabinet as well as holding positions in LucasFTM's cabinet, daN/naD's cabinet and other numerous positions in other countries.

Security has been an issue of eSwitzerland's for a long time. We are such a small nation that can be easily targeted, but we always come back strong. In recent months, congress has run amok with immigration, and several laws have been breached as well as illegal immigrants crossing into our border. I would ask the congress to step up their maturity, act like a legitimate congress for the betterment of our nation. It is also my goal that the people of eSwitzerland can be informed of what is happening in parliament and in the presidential chambers. We will do this by creating a department under the Ministry of Home Affairs called "Department of Information." They will release archives of congress discussions and weekly updates on presidential matters.

It's no surprise that we are barely visible on the map, with a small population and even smaller fighting chance. The Swiss National Army helps to dramatically increase that fighting chance, and they have done so in the past few months. A report is currently being published regarding the expenditures of the SNA. It is in my best interests that I keep the SNA open, although this report will reveal the truth, possibly being a bad truth, an appropriate decision will be made when needed. I have no doubt in my mind that this program has done extremely well to help the Swiss fight on!

The past month has been hectic for us as we have seen alliances rise and fall. We had a vote on the forum to see whether we should stay with Root or move to another alliance. The majority agreed that we should stay with Root along with our friends and family. I continue to believe that Root is the alliance for us. We will also be looking at renewing and negotiating MPP's with our friends in our immediate area of Europe as well as venturing out past Europe.
