When starting a POTUS campaign, you need to seek out and lock down specific players that you feel you need to run a government efficiently. Some go with big names, some go with aged, more seasoned players. Personally, I like to go with up and coming players who want to show their stuff. I let this slip the other day in conversation with the Federalists on their forums...so it isn't a huge surprise. Also not a surprise is this individuals leadership ability, and his ability to work with players regardless of party affiliation. Chief of Staff is a position where I think he can really shine. And he wears Opie on his avatar...p awesome imo.

My Chief of Staff will be none other than BigCDizzle, Party President of the Federalists.


Foreign Affairs

Right now the state of our foreign relations is average to bad. Not through any fault of State in any way, more due to bad policies set by former Presidents. A while ago, we closed our doors to former allies, publicly belittling some, disrespecting others. I looked on in awe as the shenanigans unfolded in front of me. I could not believe the amount of disrespect coming from the people we elect. I understand in some cases, changes in who we ally with need to be made...but to handle it as atrociously as some have is mind numbingly stupid.

My plans for the State Department are simple. I plan to hire a secretary that understands the arena of diplomacy and its requirements. No more will the eUS be seen as the punk kid who treats their allies with disdain.

I am a very old player. Some would say ancient. 4 and a half years at this thing they call a game. I have done many things, been in many positions in various governments. I am known around the world as a level headed person, who gets the job done. That said, State will be my project this upcoming month.

Many difficulties come with this issue we face. I plan on bringing in a lot of smart, respectful people to help me in this project. The goals are simple:

1. Bring the State Department back to previous levels of activity, including ambassadors.
2. Open our doors to all countries (sans F-ONE, of course) who wish to have the eUnited States as an ally. For too long we have limited ourselves in that area, and as you can see, it has caused nothing but problems for us on the battlefields.
3. Restore trust in the State Department. Countries do not trust us, some going as far as viewing us and our handling of foreign affairs as a joke. No more.
4. Mandate a strict policy of respect towards allies, and enemies as well.

This project starts with the Secretary of State. I thought on this one long and hard, simply because it's going to be so important. I had to find an individual that was at the top of his game, willing and able to jump in and take the reigns. This person also had to have experience and the want to change things for the better.

Serving two consecutive term under Israel Stevens and Henry Arundel, the Doc has connections all over the place. He is efficient, respectful and hard working. He has the tools we need to start turning around our State Department. With his help, our country will be back on top in no time.
