Join the new world

I started playing eRepublik actively last May. I first joined SFP, and had a lot of fun there. I held a few party positions, and my consistent hard work eventually landed me a PP spot there. Eventually, though, I felt like I no longer belonged in SFP. I fell out of the game for almost a month due to real life problems and a slight disgust with the game. It was time for me to move on.

In early December, I came back to the game and left SFP, but where to go next? The Federalists had some big names- former Presidents, Chiefs of Staff, Secretaries, etc. who I knew and got along with. I cautiously joined the Feds, worried that my former SFP identity would leave me as an outsider. What I found was completely different. I was welcomed with the open arms of people glad to see a former Secretary and Party President join their ranks. I was in awe of the community that was already in place there. I knew the Feds to be prestigious, but I didn’t know them to be warm and welcoming prior to this. I was pleasantly surprised.

Almost immediately, the Federalists set about helping me to get back on track in national politics. Orikfricai had just replaced Abraham Lincoln as Secretary of Media, and I was welcomed on as his deputy. I quickly took to media, churning out articles and finding a new life in the game. The next month, Orik became Chief of Staff, and I took over the Media department. The department saw for the first time since I had joined a high level of activity, putting out 2 solid WHPRs per week, full of election analyses, interviews, advertisements for government programs, and updates on national goings-on. I loved it, but it was starting to wear me down.

In the meantime, I helped out with Retention within Feds and grew to like the department a great deal so that, the next month, I served as Retention Director for the Feds, my first department head position in the party, and ran a great event for Valentine’s Day which had 3 mini events within it. It was a great success!

While Retention Director, I switched gears nationally from Media to State under our own Orikfricai, hoping to get my feet wet in my first Foreign Affairs Secretary position. It was a great month there, as well, as we managed successfully to allow the country to heal after a hectic month prior and to add a great new ally, Sweden, to Pacifica, our alliance.

In February, MelissaRose took the Party Presidency, and she appointed me as her Chief of Staff seeing my success as Retention Director. I spent the month directing some great people, including up-and-comer in the party BlameMyDoppelganger, who managed to bring in 4 or 5 new, active members to the Feds this month, a not easy feat at this point in our dying game.

After a successful month of recruiting, we need to spend the next month focusing on retention to ensure that these newbies remain active and engaged. I think that I know how we can do this. It is for this reason that I announce my candidacy for Party President of the Federalist Party. Easier said than done, though, right? I have laid out a plan for how I think that we can achieve this:





Retention

First, I believe that MrCarey has done a great job as Recruitment Director in the last term by reviving NFLB, continuing forum games, restarting the Fed Civilization V game, and starting the XCOM mission. I believe that he is best suited to continue these programs, which is why I think that he should remain in this position. He will be aided by a few deputies, including Tyler Bubblar as NFLB director. Media

We have some ground to make up here. The past month has had great media, for sure, but not enough of it. Because of his great media prowess, I have asked Lunete to return as Media Director, but, this month, I want to add some top rate deputies to aide him, allowing him to publish weekly. We have some newbies in our midst that need jobs, and we have some articles to write. I want to put those newbies to work. I’d like our Media to focus next term on reaching to our newbies, working with our Recruitment Department to ensure that newly recruited members are informed of events, programs, etc., which leads me to…

Chief of Staff

I’m excited about this appointment because BlameMyDoppelGanger is one of the rare up-and-coming newbies that I’ve had the pleasure to work with. He doubled up last term leading TWO departments, Recruitment and FedEX, both of which ran without hitch. I am eager to see where he will go from here and to give him a shot at the big chair in the near future. Vice President

I am happy to announce that Yui will be serving as my Vice President. As a former Party President of AMP, multi-term NSC leader, and multi-term Fed leadership member, I believe that Yui will be able to contribute a great deal when I need counsel and keep me in check as needed. I also believe that he will do a great job helping me in relating with other parties when diplomacy becomes necessary as he has worked with many other party leaders in the past.





Spring Fever Event

I am most looking forward to, though, another event, similar to the one that I organized in February. I am currently looking for someone to help me etch out details and to take lead on this project, but a Spring Fever event is, I think, just what the party needs to give a bit of pep to the community, like the Valentine’s Day and FedMas events before it. Other positions

Our glorious triumvirate, Paul Proteus, Cromstar, and Orikfricai will be, once again, handling the political directing, ensuring fair and consistent elections. FedEX will continue to be ran by BMD unless someone else contacts me asking to take this over. Orikfricai will run the Forums.
