[Éire] Ireland being Ireland.

Day 2,565, 02:38 Published in Ireland Ireland by Aras an Uachtarain

Hello eIreland,
We’ve been negotiating peace negotiations and regions return from China for the last couple of days, that’s the reason there was no exact informations about what to do in this war. We tried to make sure nothing which could harm this negotiations comes up. Our goal was to peacefully return our regions, avoid wipe and compensate the money spent on CO’s by renting regions to eChina. Unfortunatly, now, after the recent NE law has passed this negotiations will be much harder, I hope not impossible.

We understand that congress needs to know about what’s happening and what’s Government doing, but what I don’t understand is intentionally harming your country, avoiding advices from the Government and voting on law without consulting or knowing the concequences. I admit, Government wasn’t ready when the law was launched, there was still no congress threads or any other way to ask congressmens how to vote. But, on the other hand there was an article saying what to do, numerous shouts and I’ve personally PM’ed some congressmens I’ve noticed wasn’t in the last thread.

Last several times, when Governments plans has been said in congress, our enemies, our friends and everyone knew those plans even before they were concluded. Things got leaked. For this reason Government wanted to keep those things as a secret. Unfortunatly, all this wasn’t enough for some people who tried to get their party few more votes on the next elections by harrassing the Government and running “revolution” in congress. I’m not dissapointed by congressmens who accidentally clicked “Yes” button, or those who didn’t check the information, even though that’s what a congressmen should do before voting - check informations!

It is really easy to get elected in Irish Dail, many “noobs” can get there, many people formerly connected to enemy states, many spies and those who doesn’t want what’s good for Ireland, that’s the reason congress can’t be 100% trusted in the smaller countries such as Ireland, but one thing I just can’t understand is long time Irish citizens who does things just to be opposition to the Government without thinking about consequences. It's not just a one party which voted Yes on the law, but it's just the one party which tried to justify its Yes votes. Other parties also need to think about how active are the people they are sending to congress. Do we have enough quality people to have 40 congress places? Once again, we're incapable to have a normal country which makes normal and good decisions.

Well, after this NE law, I really do hope that the party which is to be blamed for this NE is being passed is going to re-fund eIreland with everything we would recieve if this law haven’t passed and that those people will be successful in leading Ireland to the battle. So, good luck!

Signed,
Don Croata, Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs
