[Gov / DAF] The Week of Daily Orders - Edition 6
FR Brigade HQ
Dear soldiers of the Dutch Armed Forces,
The government has decided to continue the Week of Daily Orders innitiative which supports members of our national MU, Dutch Armed Forces, and especially those members, who follow orders and regularly fight in battles set up by MU Commanders, therefore helping Netherlands in the process.
If you are not a member of our national MU and you wish to join, do so here:
https://www.erepublik.com/en/military/military-unit/514/overview
Dutch citizens, who manage to fulfill their Daily Orders during the entire week (= will have 7, or 6 Daily Orders completed at the end of each week) will receive a small monetary subsidy for their participation. The data will be collected and rewards will be distributed by selected Commanders of DAF. The exact size of the subsidy will be based on the amount of players, who will fulfill the criteria, the estimated amount is around 2 000 cc per person (= slightly below 300 cc per finished DO).
Last week 19 soldiers of DAF managed to complete 7, or 6 DOs. The government has awarded them the following rewards:
2 100 cc to person, who managed to complete all 7 DOs
1 800 cc to person, who managed to complete 6 DOs
Signed,
Shawtyl0w
Commander of the Dutch Armed Forces
odan
2nd Commander of the Dutch Armed Forces

Is this a government program, giving cc to only members of DAF?
I've never seen this before, but this is not democratic if you ask me, government money comes from taxes we all pay, and renting out regions of our nation so it should be beneficial for all of us.
I can assure you that members of the Praetorian Guard NL also fight according to MoD orders, and I for one always do my DO.
It is not an official program yet but the country president has allocated fund for this innitiative for the ladt 6 weeks yes.
Also DAF is the national MU not a privately owned one like Praetorian Guard. In the past I've done exactly this but using my own cc as Commander of the MU. I've never seen anything similar done by PG Command other than the PG Commune ehich we never hear about anymore meaning PG is not actively looking to increase their numbers by offering attractive jobs.
I am considering figthing for this innitiative to become an official program and maybe other MU's should be added to this program. But using national (gov) budget and spending it on the national MU isn't wrong in my eyes. I of course can understand your dissatisfaction and the feeling of being left out.
If this was real life, a national army would be held above a private one I would fully agree. Yet this isn't real life but a game, a game we all play together. Then it wouldn't make sense to place the one above the other, not if that is done with funds that should be used for the better of us all.
Besides, the game offers no function of a "national " MU only of MU, open for all to start. We all play for the better of our nation, let's keep doing that as equals, not place one group above the other.
So if this becomes a program we can include all MU's that sign up. Would also be nice to see each commander post the images of the DO completions for his MU so that all vommanders have to stay in touch on a weekly basis.
I'd support that. Just not the way it is now, you know when one's country starts to treat one as a second rank citizen, said citizen start to alienate itself from said government.
Rewarding members of your MU is fine and all, though when you use 'government tax' to fund only 'select units' you are discriminating. It aint like the rest of us don't do anything you know. https://imgur.com/a/z1zJVo3

Note, not against the program, funding MU's is good. The issue is just that only some MU's get funded/subsidized with government money we all contribute to (tax), instead of all.
In other words, share the wealth! Thanks.

I have zero complaints with a subsidized national MU. It's good to offer incentives and to help keep the unit competitive. There are other programs open for those of us not in the unit. While private MUs loyalties may be the same, they maintain autonomy. In my view, if you want the incentive then consider joining. Is there cause beneficial to the nation to maintain your separate units?
