~ For Honour. For Glory. For eAlbania ~

Day 2,486, 09:21 Published in Albania Albania by Roger Griswald

My fellow eAlbanians and eWorlders:

After nearly six months of two-clicking, and 3 months of hibernation, on Sunday (Day 2,483) I arose from my slumber and decided to give eRepublik another try. While I have slept little has changed in the game, the mechanics and day-to-day functions remain constant, the monotony of work, train, fight persists. The odd intrigue of the rare news article catches your eye and you skim it over. In short the game continues to stagnate.

Yet, one thing that continues to draw my attention remains, my fellow citizens. Upon my return my inbox flooded with welcoming messages, some excited, other critical of my foolish naivety to have expected the game to change, but most just friendly nods that I was missed. These messages reminded me of why I loved my adopted home of eAlbania and how great the fighters and friends of my MU United Aggression are.

While the game has not changed, the geo-political dynamics shifted dramatically while I slept. New alliances have risen to greatness and collapsed in the last year leaving the military balance of the eWorld in jeopardy. More importantly eAlbania has been left vulnerable. Long gone is the safety of the eIndian colonies, now all that is left are the more exposed UAE provinces. While currently shielded by our mighty brother eTurkey, our once great allies, turned traitors, eGreece lurk too close for comfort.

Yet, eAlbania’s reputation as loyal allies remains strong, sacrificing resources for allies comes naturally to our small eNation. To aid in this effort, I have dealt 570,269,270 in damage against eSerbia over the last 48 hours. While not enough to stop the ravenous Serbian bear, it did slow their advance and aided in our effort to slip free Southeastern Albanian from their icy grip once more, while extracting collateral damage against eSerbia for their advances in eSpain.

While the future is murky, one thing is certain. The eAlbania people will persist, and my old friends and allies will be motivation enough for me to continue my foray in eRepublik.

Join me and let's build up eAlbania once more.

In solidarity,

Roger Griswald
