[Federalist No. 4] The Great Fed Scavenger Hunt

Day 2,840, 09:20 Published in USA USA by Paul Proteus

Presumably with Paul the human.

Good morning Ladies and Fedlemen, it's been several days since I last addressed you, so here we go again.

First, I want to say thank you so much for continuing to work with me, we knew this month wasn't going to be easy, but we have also made leaps and bounds in terms of helping this party that is both our passion and our home. I can only hope the rest of my term is similarly productive.

Second, I want to say: I asked for your input, and I'm listening.

Ace was worried about our media activity, programs and standing in elections. Well, I'm proud to say that Federalist media, whether it be our official Party Press or simply members interested in writing about the party, we have been visible as well as relevant in the realm of media. Programs such as FediCare, too, have been started, and are helping new Feds engage and remain interested in our community. Finally, though it's hard to see in game, for the second month in a row The Federalist Caucus is the largest in Congress, and due to the hard work and vigilance of our political director, Cromstar, we had a record number of sign ups for Congress, as well as more votes both in terms of quantity and in terms of percentage of total votes than last month, or the month before. tl;dr It's a good time to be a Fed.

Still, there is more we can do, there is always more we can do. And one comment on the Federalism For the People thread struck me. Skalarma, a newer and incredibly active and friendly member of the Federalist forum community wrote: I think the problem with media is not enough fun. I joined this game because I wanted to have fun. Then he posted a picture of a potato, I don't entirely understand the symbolic importance of the potato, but I definitely get the sentiment of the post, and I agree whole heartedly. It's easy to get wrapped up in the bureacracy of the game and forget the purpose of a game: to have fun.

Fun? I think I had that once. Nearly killed me.

Thus, I provide to you, in the interest of fun-having, forum-dabbling and maybe even learning:

The Great Federalist Scavenger Hunt
Forum link here

It's kind of like the Amazing Race except nothing like that. Unrelated, what's the Amazing Race?

So, what is The Great Federalist Scavenger Hunt besides a lot of words? Well essentially it's a way to earn tanks simply by exploring important threads on the Federalist forum. Participation is open to all, the only requirement is access to our Forum - and if you don't have access to a particular clue, I'll give it to you. Anyway, here's how this is going to work:

A sneaky nogoodnik with moderator powers has vandalized various important threads by bolding erroneous words, and unfortunately the FBI is woefully underfunded due to decades of hedonism and can no longer afford the stakeout such a vicious crime deserves. It's up to you, Federalist detectives to decode the perp's message. Try to solve the puzzle by following the clues left in the Fed Lunch Room, and shared below, to try to determine who it could be!

In other words, though that was clearly great story telling and exposition:

Use these clues to find bolded words left on various Fed Forum threads, once you have compiled them, send your answer to me and win tanks.

The prizes are:
1st Person to Send me the Answer: 200 Q7 Tanks
2nd place: 100 Q7 tanks
3rd Place: 50 Q7 tanks
Everyone else to solve it: 20 Q7 Tanks

These are the clues:

It looks like a list, so it's definitely legit. Or at least I think that's what I was thinking.

When you have solved the mystery of the erroneously bolded words, message me at once. Have some fun, learn the forum, win some tanks. READY. SET. FED.

And next on our to-do-list is something a little less entertaining, but important nonetheless.

The Federalist Presidential Primary

It is, indeed that time of year again: Presidential Primary season. The CDC recommends you get vaccines while they last. Regardless, starting tonight on the forums we will begin the primary which will determine the candidate the Federalist Party will endorse on the 5th for President of the eUnited States. And while the President can seem often very alien from the immediate concerns of the party, it is our duty both as citizens of this country as well as members of the Federalist Party, putting the good of the nation above that of ourselves, to have our voices heard in selecting the perfect leader for our country this coming month.

To be fair, eRep's track record at electing super-leaders isn't much better

In case you need a refresher, the candidates for President this month are:

Aramec:

-CP Ask Thread
-Campaign Literature: Announcement and Cabinet

SColbert

-Ask Thread
-Campaign Literature: Announcement

Tonight, Cromstar, our political director and resident museum exhibit, will officially open the thread.

I expect to see you all voting~
