[ESO] ESO in Congress
VoodooMike71
The greatest joy any PP can have is organising a Congress candidates list. Fact.
For many moons this was a joy denied to the ESO PP, but our recent, dramatic and fully-justified meteoric rise in popularity has brought the rapture to our doors once again.
And so, with a bosom swollen with pride, I bring to you this month’s ESO Congress list:
Look at it! Just LOOK AT IT! Incredible right?
Why vote for ESO?
Congratulations. Many people would be stuck looking at the wonder of our Congress list and wouldn’t have made it down to this bit. They’d be paralysed by the sheer beauty of quite possibly the Most Accomplished Congress List Ever Seen.
But you have made it here, which may mean that you’re looking for reasons to vote for ESO in the Congress elections. Well it would be my pleasure to furnish you with three GREAT reasons to vote for us…
I hunted around and found my calculator, and worked out that the average level of our congress candidates is over 64 (64.1333333 to be more precise). That’s a lot of experience you’ll be getting right where it matters most - in Congress, doing important stuff.
In the current Congress ESO introduced a revolutionary new Chief Whip system (run by CheetahCurtis) to help our congress members keep up with what’s going on. As a direct result of this we increased our average voting attendance from a creditable 59.75% to a frankly staggering 87.5%. Five of our 8 congressmen have an unbelievable 100% voting record since the whip was introduced! Most parties would be delighted with 60% voting. We’re now waaaay beyond that.
So a vote for ESO means active, conscientious congress members who do their job properly. Nuff said.
We’ve packed our Congress list with bags of experience, but we’re also giving players who don’t normally get involved in politics a chance as well. Five of the fifteen candidates will be going into Congress for the first or second time. Guided by our more experienced players and the Whip system, we’re breathing new life into eUK politics.
And, of course, there are two WRP candidates in there, because everyone loves WRP - especially us. Oh, and one of them is Huey. How cool is that?
So there you have it - an impressive list of candidates, backed up by a set of great reasons to vote for them. what more could you possibly ask for?
So I urge you, implore you, ask you very very very nicely to do the right thing in the Congress election.
Vote for ESO!
Thank you.
Vote for the goat!

Vote for ESO
The bit that’s at the bottom of every article
Although this article is intended for members of ESO, who - frankly - struggle to keep up with the sheer quantity of cool stuff that’s happening, we’re aware that people from outside the party follow our every move and hang off our every word. That’s fine - it’s understandable. And because we’re an open, caring, giving party, we encourage that sort of thing - who are we to restrict access to our awESOmeness?
So these are for you. And don’t forget, you can always join us and be part of the only eUK party that’s growing**.

Madness is at the bottom of the list?!? This is true madness I tell you! First you cheat to take his pp away from him and now his congress medal! Outrageous
Otherwise the list looks good to me o7 let's try and get another big term in!
He asked to be. He was higher initially. Obviously the glare of ESO brilliance has spooked him a little.

Thanks once again to VM71 and his ESO party members for choosing a coalition with the WRP and running two of our candidates. I really appreciate that you are giving myself and Rafay the opportunity to represent the UK and the WRP in Parliament (Congress) \o/
2 seats for 30 plus members should be at least 4-6 seats do the math that is what you are good at! they are not doing you the favor it is the other way round.
If that is the case how come you never approach WRP if we have such unreasonable offers? Surely it should be easy to win over their support.
Secondly, there is a rift between members and voters, 30 plus members does not mean 30 plus voters.
Thirdly, those who do vote may not even be aware of a coalition. More lost votes.
Looking forward to seeing a 100% turnout for BDP, Your multi fingers will be sore when you've done that.
110% today please
How many seats would you think 25 votes gets?
No idea, its impossible to know how many votes a party is actually worth. The deal with WRP is beneficial to both parties. If WRP had better deals elsewhere I am sure they would have taken them, but we must have either have presented the best offer or the only offer.
I was not involved in the cross party congressional coalition discussions, it was left in the capable hands of Aaron and VM71. However I'm appreciative of the two places offered by ESO on their list and I am unaware of any dissatisfaction from other WRP members. While I recognise, it may have be possible to run additional WRP candidates, two is fair enough in my opinion and 4 would have been very generous for a party of our size and position.

United for a better UK.
I don't think that someone's level is a good indicator of their epolitical experience 😛, but nonetheless a decent list from ESO.
Our list has 2-3 ex-Dictators, 4-5 ex-CPs and probably 100+ months of combined Congress experience. That better? 🙂
Yeh 😛
And the current Speaker.
...and I am not even on the list 😃
