[Economic] Worth the factory? -part 2
TheJny123
This is part 2 of my "save players money" article series. Its purpose is to give players some good economic advice to help them along in the game without buying gold. This article i shall discuss the value of food factories. For part 1, regarding Weapons factories, click HERE
"For the purpose of this article i shall use base production levels and will not include Work Tax"
Now when it comes to food we find a different picture because food is produced in a greater quantity than weapons, with the base production being 100 food per day rather than 10. This is not too bad as rather than 10 FRM(food raw material) being used to make 1 Q1 food it is in single figures, using only 1 FRM to make 1 Q1 food. So what does this do to the figures well lets look.
As you can see it doesn't make a difference to the amount required to make the base production because although you are mulitplying the amount made by 10 you are also dividing the amount of FRM required by 10 so this cancels each other out. However that doesn't mean it will be the same as weapons where you only make profit on Q5 and up. Here is the cost of FRM for each factories production
Q1 FRM COST= 3CC
Q2 FRM COST= 6CC
Q3 FRM COST= 9CC
Q4 FRM COST= 12cc
q5 FRM COST= 15CC
Q6 FRM COST= 18CC
Q7 FRM COST= 60CC
So as you can see the cost of FRM is less than that of WRM with FRM standing at an average price of 0.03cc per unit. Now lets look at the revenue(REV) from each factory
Q1 FOOD REV=8CC
Q2 FOOD REV=12CC
Q3 FOOD REV=20cc
Q4 FOOD REV=25cc
Q5 FOOD REV=33cc
Q6 FOOD REV=54cc
Q7 FOOD REV=79cc
As you can clearly see there is profit from the off. Now obviously i don't suggest going beyond Q5 because Q6 and Q7 don't sell as well to my knowledge but the fact stands in the figure you see before you, food factories make profit.
So now for some analysis, does this data before you mean that food factories are better than weapons factories? Well yes because if you are a young player or one with little money simply because it is more profitable. Obviously more money is made with a higher level weapons factory but you don't make much before it, if any. Obviously there is the question whether you will sell as much food after Q5 which would cap your growth but it is still pretty good.
Therefore i shall conclude with the following statement:
FOOD FACTORIES ARE A BETTER INVESTMENT THAN WEAPONS FACTORIES.
If you would like to dispute that statement then please do so in the comments below and we can have a discussion/debate on the matter.

you miss one point, an economic point : don't fight unless you are given weapons and food.
havent got that far yet
So ignoring energy costs, work tax and VAT it only takes 6.5 years to break even with a Q5 factory, who says the economy sucks.
370gold X 0.55 = 204gold
204 gold x 210 = 42840cc
42840cc / 18cc (daily profit) = 2380 days
there is ofcourse that problem but there is still the point to be made that it is better to invest the money and have a greater income, even if you will never get your full investment back, than simply blow every penny on food and tanks
What is better? Alu mines or food factories?
