Hey everyone!
Just a quick update on the Foreign Affairs situation we have.
Since the alliance split of TWO, it's been clear that two big alliances have now formed, Sirius and Asteria (plus some smaller alliances that are allied to Sirius and Asteria).
Because of our new Non Aggression Pact with Chile, that limits our options but also hopefully will make the Sirius alliance accessible to us. Before the NAP, we had messaged Sirius nations asking for Mutual Protection Pacts (MPPs) and were told by one and all that while we were at War with Chile, it wasn't going to happen. This was disappointing because that was the alliance that we had originally wanted to join. To be clear, we have friends in both alliances, and it was a difficult decision to make, but with two powerful neighbours allied to that alliance, it was decided that joining it would be in our best interests.
Now that the NAP with Chile has been agreed upon, we can message those Countries again and hope that we will obtain more MPPs which means more battles that can be fought from here in eAustralia without moving.
Hopefully it won't be long before we have our MPP stack refilled.
Now that we have a region and will have a Senate tomorrow, we will be able to grant citizenships again. Please message me if you are a returning citizen and I'll have Senate prioritise you. For anyone else, please wait and you will be contacted by someone in our Immigration Dept.

Finally😉 Thanks Binda! 1 question only, which actually is 2🙂 Who decided on joining to Sirius and where can public find trace of it?
We haven't applied to join Sirius, just to Sirius nations for MPPs. It's been discussed by the Senate (NES) for a while now. With our Govt having accepted the NAP, we've been informed by Asteria that it is unlikely to accept us.
Shame...well looks like eAus is full of opportunists who change their allies just like their underwears...I expected more from the others.
We have had allies in both camps, so it wasn't an easy decision to make.
Signing the NAP made the decision for us really.
How many enemies we had in Asteria?🙂

The NAP was already a shame, which Mick won't wash from himself ever, unfortunately none would remember the cabinet or the NES members but the CP. I try to understand your points, but the final conclusion is always the same. Fight and never surrender, a nation without dignity and not a nation anymore...

I feel like eAus is trying to be the ewhore of the eWorld. Doesn't matter who would ally us anymore? Of course no one wants us..and it is not about size as there are plenty nations with the same size as ours.
I'll always stand up and say I voted the NAP. As I said to Louise it can be for as little as the CP and senate decide and each changes every month. Sometimes you have to know when to just retreat to re-plan or even allow other opportunities to open up....which they will next month and wouldn't have if we hadn't of signed a temporary NAP.
As for Sirius, they were less than welcoming before we even managed to speak to Chile. Lets just say there was more than one nation who threatened to go the extra mile to stop us entering because of a possible MPP clash with Chile.
Alternatives? We fight RW's getting nowhere for now while Chile just organise them themselves to reset our determination bonuses, and then we'd have a possible shot to get into Asteria where Argentina wouldn't even raise a bead of sweat in thought about helping us due to their NAP with Chile. Though that too has been less than a friendly reception.
I am sorry you feel this way. Time will certainly tell if this was the right decision or not. I feel that the cost of inaction however far outweighed the cost of action in this case. As Einstein once said (paraphrasing), the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different outcomes.
I have always said I take full responsibility for the deal with Chile and if it goes bad under the current arrangements, then I will accept that blame. But I will not accept the blame of being a CP who stood ideally by as his nation stood crumbling before him. Without change, Australia will not grow stronger, we will not conquer our enemies, we will wither and we will die. Do not expect help from Plato, he has made it clear that he has no time for us. It is for us to determine our fate as a nation and if this plan fails then we will not be weaker because of it, but I can assure you we would be weaker if we continued down the path we have been on.
All right Mick, let's see where this will take us, not much option I have anyways, but to wait, I never liked running away, I won't start now 🙂
I'm against the NAP and also being in an alliance where more nations betrayed us already than in Asteria. I saw much examples in my eLife, hopefully this one won't be another bad example.
Voted, been a hectic month this month with some long hours put in behind the scenes, it'll pay off when we make our own alliance - United Nations of Squirrels and occupy Serbia and Poland. It'll be tough but we have the nuts to crack it

P😒 It would be better for eAustralia that if you need alliance and as I can see you should need it,than pick Asteria and sign MPP with Asteria alliance.That alliance seems to me more suitaable and a lot"s of friendly eCountries are there.Greetings from Alex Popovic/Sekula Vasiljevic 😃 !!!!.
