[CP] Thanatos last words

Beste burgers der eNederlanden,
Mijn termijn als uw Lands President zit er weer op. Het was zeker geen gemakkelijke maand, we zijn weer bezet door Polen, en hebben geen ingame Congress. Ondertussen hadden we enkele bijna succesvolle RW’s, zoals de laatste, waar we bijna West Nederland bevrijden en Polen Saksen verloor.
We hebben gepoogd ‘n overkomst met de Polen te sluiten, op herhaaldelijk verzoek van de opositie, maar zij willen 2miljoen cc voor 1 regio, ik heb mijn opinie hierover op forum gemeld.
Ik verlaat deze hogste functie nu, in de overtuiging dat RikW ‘n uitstekend opvolger is. Uiteraard blijf ik ons land dienen, nu in de functie van MoD of in het MoD-team.
De volgende CP zal nu het referendum organiseren over welke alliantie te joinen. Daarover kunt u meer lezen in; here.
Met groot genoegen wil ik enkele personen huldigen, voor hun bijdragen aan onze samenleving.
van Spijck; voor uitzonderlijke diensten aan eNL, zoals 7x CP, waarvan 6x achtereen onder zware omstandigheden, dit mag niet vergeten worden, ons in EDEN te krijgen, daar ook SC te zijn geweest, en zijn hulp met het vinden van een nieuwe alliantie; Commandeur in de orde van Oranje Nassau.
Aries Prime; voor uitzonderlijke diensten aan eNL, als MoD, vMoD, en het blijven proberen eNL te bevrijden met behulp van eigen tijd, geld en het tonen van moed tegenover de vijand; ridder in de orde van Oranje Nassau.
Weekstrom, voor zijn uitzonderlijke daden op Financien, alweer 10 maanden; zonder hem waren we allang failliet; Commandeur in de orde van Oranje Nassau. In de wetenschap dat van Spijck hem niet de juiste verleende de vorige maand.
Het was mij een grote eer mijn land als President te mogen dienen, en ik hoop mijn land nog vele maanden langer te kunnen blijven dienen.
Ik wil besluiten met deze woorden; WE GEVEN ONS NOOIT OVER!

Dear citizens of the eNetherlands,
My term as your Country President is done. It sure wasn’t an easy month, we are wiped again by Poland and without Congress in game. In the meantime we had a lot of almost succesful RWs, like the last one were we almost liberated Western Netherlands and Poland lost Saxony.
We tried to sign an agreement with Poland as repetious asked by the oposition, but they seek 2M cc per region. I wrote my opinion on our forum what I think about it.
I’m leaving this highest function now, in the knowledge that RikW will be an excellent successor. Ofcourse I will continue to serve our nation, now in the role of MoD or in MoD team.
Next CP will organize referendum in which alliance the Netherlands want join. About alliances you can read here.
It gives me great pleasure to honour a few people for their contributions to our society.
van Spijck; for extra ordinary service to the eNL; seven times CP of which 6 times consecutive under harsh conditions, that should not be forgotten, geting us into EDEN, being SC, trying to find us a new alliance, Commandeur in the order of Oranje-Nassau
Aries Prime; for extra ordinary service to the eNL like MoD this month and in last few month like vMoD, trying liberation the Netherlands this month and spent time, money and courage to oppose the enemy, knight in the order of Oranje-Nassau
Weekstrom; for his tireless work on our Finance department for over 10 months. Without him this country would have been bankrupt long time ago. That’s why I grant him Commandeur in the order of Oranje Nassau. This in the knowledge van Spijck granted him not the correct one last month.
It sure was my honour to serve my country as President, and I hope to be able to serve my country to my best abilities for many months longer.
I will conclude with these words: NEVER SURRENDER!

What are the expected profits from having 1 region? And how long will we be able to keep that region before the pink disaster decides to take it back?
Some of our regions they possess offer them hardly any benefit, and 2mil CC is simply far too much for a region that grants them no profit what so ever. They should realize that we have nothing right now, and therefore nothing to lose. They, on the other hand, have much to lose. Handing over one region for a much lower price should be much more attractive to them.
Besides, 2mil CC without any kind of valuable insurance for having us keep that region is pointless indeed.
2million is a typo pure and simple.
My gues; the guy didn't even finish elemantary school, and meant to say 2k cc 😉
If it's 2k, then that's less than 10 gold. If we can actually keep the area for a while that should definitely be doable, unless they want us to pay that every month. In that case the area needs to grant us more than 2k profit/month (although being able to have a congress sure is nice).
I believe it was supposed to be 20k cc per region which is out of our budget range anyway.

Apart from congress gold there is hardly any profit from a region. Hardly (if any) extra tax, new citizens, although with some people common believe it can't, are still borne. So financially there is hardly any gain making payment hardly ever profitable. Not to mention the fact that paying for what is ours doesn't sound logical...
It's a common misconception that the region is "ours". It's not. It is owned by those who can keep it. We can not, so it is not ours. But I agree, 20k is too much for something that doesn't give us any profit in return.

sigh, will you guys never learn? oranje nassau medals aren't ment for governmental work...
Then perhaps we should think of new medals for doing one's duty above and beyond. Now there's way to much medals for newspapers!
Really? Where did you get that intel from. I suspect you've mistaken the restrictions in the first two Oranje Nassau medals about publications while gov official to apply to any gov work. The way I see it it can be given to anyone, gov official, normal eDutch citizen, commanders and even foreign citizens.
I invented and designed the whole medal program.
Your governmental CV works in another medal, civil contributions can be done in your own time, for instance your party analysis article is a good example, not gov work, but beneficial to all.
I agree with that Daniel. The descriptions however say something else for the lvl 3 and 4 medals. And the current proposal (With which I don't agree) even want to remove the restrictions on lvl 1 and 2.
