[CP] State of the Union (Day 2147)

Day 2,147, 07:41 Published in Canada Canada by Addy Lawrence

THE MANDATE

On October 5th, a majority of eCanadian voters provided me with a mandate to build an eCanada of vision, passion, and purpose. I have an outstanding team of people to help me achieve this:

Vice-President, Rylde
Vice-President, Acacia Mason
Minister of Defence, klop123
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shoi12
Minister of Finance, to be confirmed.

STATE OF THE UNION

Opening Remarks

I must say I'm embarassed by the showing of support, over 70%, I better live up to expectations. Thank-you CPF, MDP, IPC, CW and PFC for your support and thank you eCanada for your tremendous vote of confidence, truly humbling.

The open war with eNetherlands and the battle underway are the matters at hand so lets get down to business.

On the war with eNetherlands...

Apparently there was a lot of negotiating going on between the outgoing eCan Executive and the Executive of eNetherlands without the knowledge of congress and apparently there were international commitments made without the support of congress. The executive order issued to eCan congress in Closed Door Congress does not agree to the agreement that has been relayed to me by eNL CP van Spijck nor the remnants of the outgoing eCan Executive.

For the record, congress has been advocating for the eNL debate to be moved to Open Door Congress for days.

The mandate and authority in place at the moment is to permit eNL to harbour in eCan's region of Northwest Territory so that they can be on the map and maintain a congress.

Resultantly, I ask all eCanadian soldiers to ensure that eNL wins all Resistance Wars that start in Northwest Territory.

Furthermore, I ask all eCanadian soldiers to win in the Battle of Yukon, this is not part of the agreement that was ratified by congress in Closed Door Congress.

Furthermore, I ask all congressmen to support the peace proposal between eNL and eCan so that the open war ends.

In summary, fight for eCanada in Yukon, fight for eNetherlands in Northwest Territory, and support the Peace Treaty to end the war.

Anything else, if anything else, in addition to this, will be negotiated seperately. Congress has provided a mandate for eNL to hole up in Northwest Territory, surrounding by eCan, not bordering ePoland, so that they can exist.

I would invite everyone to console Rylde for the loss of his homeland region, Northwest Territory. Rylde is a man of character with a strong connection to Northwest Territory and he deserves a pat on the back for tolerating this issue which is very much a personal one for him.

On further diplomacy with eNetherlands...

I will be proposing a motion in Open Door Congress to consider an ammended agreement with eNetherlands involving more regions and no impact on bonuses in eCanada.

On relations with CoT...

I will be crafting a request with CoT today requesting an exception, per their membership charter, to be excused from signing MPPs with member countries that are not at war.

Informal discussions to date with them have been positive and co-operative. This will be a great litmus test for eCanada to determine the reasonableness of this alliance and committing to it long-term after the trial period.

On a budget...

Despite the fact I do not have a Minister of Finance in place yet, I anticipate proposing a budget to spend 100,000 CC during my term. It will be up to congress to ratify it or change it. I want to ensure we sign six MPPs with member states of CoT that are at war or need help and that we can flow at least 40,000 through the new Combat Order Act.

On what you can expect with regards to communication...

I intend to write an article very three days to keep you updated.

Closing Remarks and Shameless Plugs...

I am a little slow out of the gate this term, but I'm confident I'll catch up.

There is always an impeachment attempt every CP's term so I won't be rattled until the second one is proposed.

Who's your daddy?
