From time to time it is necessary to celebrate and appreciate those in the community who have contributed in their various ways. To honor and distinguish their services to the community we have the medal known as Orde van Oranje Nassau. As Country President It is my privalge to distinguish these people. In my opinion for some of these individuals it is long over due!
What makes this special as well is that for the first time ever I will award the Orde Nassau Grand Knight not to one but to four pillars of our community!
Oranje Nassau, Grand Knight
Kixtart – Contributions for maintaining the forums and continued service as a community elder
Heikanu - – Contributions for maintaining the forums and continued service as a community elder
Artemivanov – Continued service to the community and many terms of continued and dedicated service
Garmr – Continued dedication and service in the community
Oranje Nassau, Commandeur
Elgorro – Contributions in the media, politics as well as dedicated service
Oranje Nassau, Knight
Van Spijck – Contributions to the community and his dedicated service throughout the community

What a joke, Garmr isnt even Dutch citizen... Friends giving friends medals, cute but totally meaningless.

Congratulations though.
Oranje Nassau, Knight: Outstanding contribution to the media-landscape* or community of the Netherlands (*congress, government and political party and such media contributions are excluded for this medal)
Oranje Nassau, Commandeur: Extraordinary contribution to the community of the Netherlands (e.g. half year being an forum-admin, programming API´s or another significant contribution that intensified the countries community)
Oranje Nassau, Grand Knight: Outlandish grande performance whose actions helped result into a babyboom, or any other similar essential and unique contribution which secured the longevity of the country for the future.
Read the descriptions carefully and make up your mind.
Kixtart and Heikanu: yes, they should have received this a long time ago.The others: maybe Knight for media contributions, but not what they have been given. The reasons for giving them out are ridiculous: politics and all things, media included, with a relation to politics, are expressly excluded as reasons to give this medal. How sad to see Auggustus end his term by this farce.

Maybe you guys should contribute to the community then 😉
Maybe our most august leader should learn to read, in addition to his many great contributions to our community. And he might just need to look up the word 'graceful' in a dictionary. I expect he will improve himself through both actions.
I'm a honorary citizen Kiecho. If you ever did anything worth mentioning you would know that.
And how did you get your commandeur rank in this by the way Hindrik? I remember you got it from a friend as well. I did not complain or say a bad word back then.

@Garmr: I'm not questioning if people deserve these medals, nor do I question the sentiments involved in awarding them. I merely question the reasons stated for awarding them, as they are literally excluded as reasons to award these medals.
We should learn to peacefully disagree again in this country. 'Graceful' - look it up in the afore mentioned dictionary.

also @Kiecho you are somewhat right, but for the wrong reasons. Garmr is a honorary citizen and therefore is able to get medals. Although not this one Auggy gave him.
