[CP] Onwards with Supplies!

Dear citizens of the eNetherlands,
It has been a peaceful and quite time lately. Our population has stabilized around 140-150 (and even sees some increases!) which takes some pressure of my presidency. Nevertheless it still remains of utmost importance that we at least keep those numbers and try everything to increase it. I'm running around in circles when I'm saying I want to revive older citizens. I'm running around in circles when I'm requesting forum administration to send my 2-month old message to them by e-mail. If this is not done before the end of my current term I will consider to send those messages one-by-one personally.
I have tried during the last few days to make the administration of our Congress (in the form of a forum position as 'Chairman of Congress') more fair. I have made a proposal to make sure that position doesn't end with the same usual suspects for years. Sadly it didn't pass the vote quorum, but with a new Congress I hope I can entice people to show up and support it. You can follow the debate here. I've also come to know that several individuals are working on a revision of our laws. I hope all those initiatives are a hopeful sign for changes to come, in which the in-game eNetherlands are no longer ruled by meta-game and forums gone too far.
Now on to some fun things. The nations of the Orion Alliance (Canada, The Netherlands, Estonia & Cuba) will organize a competition starting day 3752. Those nations improving their damage output the most (relatively) during a week will receive prizes upwards to 100,000cc! I hope to see you all on the battlefield to show we're still alive. In addition to that I intend to re-introduce supplies to the soldiers of the eNetherlands. Therefore, starting from day 3752 onto day 3759 eDutch citizens can request weekly supplies here. This is obviously a trial to seek whether a supply system is still viable and amounts/forms of supplies will be enhanced following the results of this trial.

Despite the setback on a forum vote I still see changes occurring so don’t give up!
As for quorum not being met; you might want to retry after this weeks vacation when also the newly elected congress is settled. I suspect several CM being on vacation and less active. Plus I’m rather sure the old forum gang will sent each other RL messages to make sure voting is done to keep their powers while at the same time they (by means of the coc) still refuse to sent in game messages to CM when a vote starts and perhaps even quit sending forum PM’s about votes which they still did when I was CM. Which is just one of the things going on for years and showing the use of forum for game issues is dead and should have been abandoned years ago.
Not to mention the fact we likely have several CM refusing to visit forum. Try to convince them to at least go vote when needed. I think REL and GPN both need work on that.
And finally, to show things changing are felt in game; even I consider running for CM to support the changes as we need votes on forum first to make things happen. I had a hell of a weel last week and am on vacation right now so I didn’t do so last time but if you run again for CP chances are 50-50 I will do so next time which is the highest it has been ever since I quit there....
I'm happy to hear that! My returned activity/candidacies is exactly meant to 'reactivate' several players like you in the outdated caves of the forum (which as of now is sadly still needed to change things) so I'm happy to hear you're reconsidering to be politically active. I hope my terms can loud in a period of reformism and more down-to-earth politics related to eRepublik in-game.
