[CP] On the Oranje Nassau medals

Dear citizens,

I am here to inform you about the Oranje Nassau medals that were handed out last month.

Last month, my predecessor Auggustus handed out 6 Oranje Nassau medals. After that, a fierce discussion arose (not all of you can read this page) about the question whether those medals were given in the right way. Gladly, I can today announce that that discussion is over.


As CP, I have the right to undo medals that were previously given. A congress vote was held by me (again: not all of you can read) to see whether congress wants me to do so for the highest medals (Grand-Knight), that were given to ArtemIvanov, Garmr, Heikanu and Kixtart.

The outcome of this vote was clear: an average 88,9% of congress wanted me to do nothing about the medals (Kixtart 92,9%, Heikanu 92,3%, Artem 84,6%, Garmr 85,7😵.
However, because the general opinion is that the description of the medal is vague and incomplete, I will hereby make a “new description”. Again: this is no change to the value of the medals whatsoever.

Kixtart:
Old description: Contributions for maintaining the forums and continued service as a community elder.
Additional description: As forum admin from the beginning of our forum, Kixtart is one of the two unique persons that makes sure our communication system works perfectly fine. Not only as an admin, Kixtart has proven himself an experienced and valuable player, he has also shown in the past that he is motivated, as an eRepublik ambassador. Kixtart loves his country, with pages full of invites from which the gold (partly) was donated, help at babyboom pages and participation in events like coaching systems. His endeavours secured the longevity of the country for the future.

Heikanu:
Old description: Contributions for maintaining the forums and continued service as a community elder.
Additional description: As forum admin for many years now, Heikanu is one of the two unique persons that makes sure our communcation system works perfectly fine. As current Party President as well as former Country President, Heikanu has showed to be a trustworthy and experienced player that we as a country can rely on. With his ingame and forum activities, Heikanu has secured the longevity of the country for the future.

ArtemIvanov:
Old description: Continued service to the community and many terms of continued and dedicated service.
Additional description: As one of the oldest players of the Netherlands, ArtemIvanov has served his country over and over again on nearly every terrain. His government as well as congress actions have increased activity, debate and progress in our nation. Also, it is about time we thank him for organizing one of the largest eLotteries of days-long-ago, which provided our country over 300 gold. ArtemIvanov has proven himself trustworthy over and over again. Reliable people like him are a must to secure the longevity of the country for the future.

Garmr:
Old description: Continued dedication and service in the community.
Additional description: For many years, Garmr has served his country on the battlefield as well as in politics. As a reliable player, he is an excellent choice for the current key keeper. With one of the highest military ranks and with his experience in and knowledge of the military aspects of the game, he has served his country on the national as well as the international scheme. As one of the major faces of the Netherlands to the international stage, Garmr is constantly securing the longevity of the country for the future.


I wish to let this be the end of the discussion. I again congratulate all medal recipients and hope they will use these rewards as a motivation to continue their great service to our nation, our people and our community!

Beste burgers,

Ik schrijf dit om jullie te informeren over de Oranje Nassau-medailles die vorige maand zijn uitgereikt.

Vorige maand heeft mijn voorganger Auggustus 6 Oranje Nassau-medaills uitgereikt. Daarna is een verhitte discussie ontstaan (niet iedereen kan deze pagina zien) over de vraag of de medailles op de juiste manier waren gegeven. Gelukkig kan ik vandaag verkondigen dat die discussie voorbij is.


Als president heb ik het recht om eerder gegeven medailles ongedaan te maken. Een congres-stemming is door mij gehouden (opnieuw: niet iedereen kan deze pagina zien) om uit te vinden of het congres wil dat ik dit doe voor de hoogste medailles (Groot-Ridder), die gegeven waren aan ArtemIvanov, Garmr, Heikanu en Kixtart.

De uitkomst van deze stemming was duidelijk: een gemiddelde van 88,9% van het congres wil dat ik niets doe aan de medailles (Kixtart 92,9, Heikanu 92,3, Artem 84,6%, Garmr 85,7😵. Omdat de algemene opvatting was dat de gegeven omschrijving bij de medailles te vaag en inclompleet is, heb ik besloten een “nieuwe beschrijving” te maken. Opnieuw: dit is geen verandering aan de waarde van de medailles, op wat voor manier dan ook.

Kixtart:
Oude beschrijving: Contributions for maintaining the forums and continued service as a community elder.
Bijkomende beschrijving: Als forumadmin vanaf het begin van ons forum is Kixtart één van de twee unieke personen die het mogelijk maken dat ons communicatiesysteem perfect werkt. Niet alleen als admin heeft Kixtart zichzelf als ervaren en waardevolle speler neergezet, hij heeft ook in het verleden zijn motivatie laten zien, als eRepublik ambassadeur. Kixtart houdt van zijn land, met pagina’s vol uitnodigingen waarvan het goud (gedeeltelijk) is gedoneerd, hulp bij babyboom-pagina’s en deelname in evenementen zoals coachingsystemen. Zijn ondernemingen hebben de vatbaarheid van het land voor de toekomst zekergesteld.

Heikanu:
Oude beschrijving: Contributions for maintaining the forums and continued service as a community elder.
Bijkomende beschrijving: Als forumadmin voor vele jaren nu is Heikanu één van de twee unieke personen die ervoor zorgt dat ons communicatiesysteem perfect werkt. Als huidige Partijpresident en net zozeer als voormalig Landspresident heeft Heikanu laten zien een betrouwbare en ervaren speler te zijn op wie we als land kunnen vertrouwen. Met zijn ingame- en forumactiviteiten heeft Heikanu de vatbaarheid van het land voor de toekomst zekergesteld.



ArtemIvanov:
Oude beschrijving: Continued service to the community and many terms of continued and dedicated service.
Bijkomende beschrijving: Als één van de oudste spelers van Nederland heeft ArtemIvanov zijn land telkens opnieuw gediend op nagenoeg ieder terrein. Zijn regerings- en zeker ook congresacties hebben de activiteit, het debat en de vooruitgang van onze natie vergroot. Ook is het meer dan tijd dat we hem bedanken voor het organiseren van één van de grootste eLoterijen uit lang vervolgen tijden, die ons land meer dan 300 goud heeft opgeleverd. ArtemIvanov heeft zijn betrouwbaarheid keer op keer bewezen. Betrouwbare mensen als hij zijn een vereiste voor het zeker stellen van de vatbaarheid van ons land voor de toekomst.

Garmr:
Oude beschrijving: Continued dedication and service in the community.
Bijkomende beschrijving: Voor vele jaren heeft Garmr zijn land gediend op het slagveld en net zozeer in de politiek. Als betrouwbare speler is hij een geweldige keuze als de huidige sleutelbewaarder. Met één van de hoogste militaire rangen en met zijn ervaring in en kennis over de militaire aspecten van het spel heeft hij zijn land gediend op zowel de nationale als internationale bühne. Als één van de belangrijkste gezichten van Nederland op het internationale veld stelt Garmr onophoudelijk de vatbaarheid van ons land voor de toekomst zeker.

Ik wens dat dit het eind is van de discussie. Opnieuw feliciteer ik alle medaille-ontvangers en hoop ik dat ze deze onderscheiding zullen gebruiken als een motivatie om hun fantastische dienst aan ons land, ons volk en onze gemeenschap voort te zetten!
