[CP] National Theft - IMPORTANT UPDATE [CP]

Dear citizens of the eNetherlands,

Many have noted my so-called absence lately. This is NOT a fact. I've been more active than ever before, trying to find a solution to the recent robbery of our national accounts. I didn't feel it was helpfull spilling out information and raising suspicions, before we had got any hard facts. While this feels like neglecting 'transparency' with the population to some, it also meant time was spent on contacting the admins instead and we've finally got response on our tickets. I must however warn their response will not satisfy.

They've tracked down the ip adresses used in the robbery; more than one were used, multiple governmet accounts were accessed at the same time. Eventually, all government organisations have been breached. These IP adresses were NOT connected to any in-game eRepublik profile, as they were hidden by a proxy. This essentially means we, nor the admins, can't put the one responsible for the recent theft to justice, unless other proof shows up.

Furthermore, our gold and goods CANNOT be transfered back. It has been noticed that the robbed properties weren't sent to one/few main account(s), but spread evenly to hunderd of players. Also, many gold was used, as during the theft all NLG stock on the monetary market was bought up (+ sizeble amounts of Belgian and British currency)). Also, many gold has been sent to foreign nations, most notibly Poland and Belgium. Due to these actions and their radical consequences, the theft can not be turned back by the admins.

The admins have also stated it is very likely this is in an inside job, an assumption which many of us already have. They advised us to have the least amount of people possible having access to ALL passwords, preferably only one. We shouldn't worry about only one person having access; in case of governrment passwords lost or abused, they'll be retrieved by the admins.

Based on the latest facts, I propose the following measures to be taken immediately (Our only last viable options):
*All persons who have direct access to the government passwords, need to resign. This means the keykeeper needs to be either removed or replaced. This also means I, the current president of the eNetherlands, will resign. (An impeachment should be started as soon as possible). After this process the new CP/new keykeeper should change all passwords and only hand them out to their specific ministries.
*Call out everyone who received money, food, weapons or other properties they shouldn't have received to donate this back to the state (can be done on our country page)
*Request gold sent to foreign nations back.

I regret NoTie II, and my personal name, will be forever polluted by this disaster and our powerless attempts to get the robbed properties back. The only logical step for me is to step out of the political stage. I'll not quit the game, but I'll leave our nation represented by good, old, wise men who's reputation are not horribly tarnished. It was an honour to represent this beautiful and once-flourishing nation for two consectutive times. I always acted in interest of our country.
