Day 2300 of the New World

Dear Fellow Americans,

Thank you for electing me to your highest office. I will do my best.

Congress Voting on NE
Please note that we have declared Japan as our Natural Enemy. We do this to acquire an additional 10% bonus on our attacks against them. Taking Hokkaido and Tohoku will result in a Deer territory added to our total, bringing us back to 100% in Food bonus. It also gives us an additional Fish holding, making our French fish regions redundant.

Busy Cabinet
As you’d expect the Cabinet is busily at work. I was informed that our activity has set a new record for this year in terms of post count. Well, it’s only March. But it’s also early in the month. We will be setting the bar high in terms of our activity.

America’s Tophat
There was quite a bit of noise about Canada leading into the election. Among other things, I offered to negotiate with Canada, but I indicated that it was beyond my capacity to do so until their ties were cut with eSerbia. They have not yet cut ties with eSerbia. So I have not begun any talks with them.

Canada has sovereignty to cavort with whomever they want. But they cannot dictate our Foreign Policy. We will not engage in talks with them while they are in bed with our enemy, and expecting us to do otherwise is a big mistake on their part.

Interior Plans Big Things
Our Interior department has been working on a program to replace what I had originally hoped would be a resurrection of the Bewbs4Newbs program. But after collecting several important opinions, I became convinced that B4N was a bad idea and so I started looking elsewhere. I will let Interior announce their new program in their own newspaper, but let me just tease it by saying that the MU’s of this country are going to love it.

Of course they'll dictate our foreign policy, sillybuns. Doesn't matter whether they won the war/America and Spain got bored and decided to go home. They won. We lost. If I know my Canadians, the only thing they will accept is our unconditional surrender.

If you think I'm wrong, "negotiate" with Canada, and see how long they put up with it before Serbian troops appear in North America.

Oh, and don't call them "America's tophat". They don't like that, and they're in bad enough a mood as it is.

No one takes this stuff seriously. After it's not like we act like hippies from an era we are to young to actually experienced and pretend to be radio djs. We don't craft fake internet lives for ourselves like that. We just go back and forth giving each other a bit of a hard time. It's good clean fun. Nothing wrong with that.

Not really worried about Canadians. Serbians? Romanians? Hungarians? Greeks? Even Thais and Montenengrins if they all go at us at once (and if one goes, they all will), they could do it. Another wipe of the US with 7 countries to remove. If I was Canada, I would work so hard to persuade Serbia to do it. If Serbia decided, all the rest would follow.

oh of course, as with all alliance mix ups there will be moments where we are at risk. If Canada is willing to be a part of that then so be it. If anything it shows that we were justified in our actions against them. Unfortunately Canada and Rylde especially only seem to have one tool in their toolbox, and its a hammer. Unfortunately every problem is not a nail.
