Quite predictable that the meta crowd are trying to paint this election in as negative a light as possible since their candidate lost. What will be interesting to see is how the country reacts when they inevitably call for impeachment so that they can get their way anyhow.

much as I hate the sandbox forums, I went there first thing and of course found a Proposal to Impeach.
it's not in proper form or order so there'll be some delay while the Establishment Congress follows proper procedure, but the seed is sown.

*sigh* I just went and read the entirety of that forum thread. What the participants in that thread seem to be unwilling or unable to grasp is that the majority of citizens have no interest in reading the rantings of others on the forum. I certainly have not done so since I voluntarily took myself out of running for Congress, although I did look in frequently, usually several times a day, when I had Congress or government access. The trouble is, reading those threads is pretty much a monumental waste of time. The thing that got the most attention from Congress in my last term there was a meaningless quote pyramid. If you want to reach the people, you have to do so in game, not talking amongst yourselves on a forum nobody else. Reading on the forum might lead some people to believe that the whole eUS population is divided into two clearly defined camps. That is totally untrue. Life, even eLife, is not black and white...it is rainbow-colored, a messy, joyous hodgepodge of humanity, and to try to put everyone into one or two neat categories is both unfair and ultimately self-destructive. Darn you, Wooky! You are making me write an article here! 😛

@Aramec: He cannot bring the change alone. We need the American people to be willing to work for the furthering of our nation, and not by forum, by an actual political discussion in-game.

We need people like you, Aramec, to be willing to work with the newly elected President, not dictator, to further American interests and safety.

Compromise can, and hopefully will be made, but all need to have an equal place at the table.

Gnil put in the work and won the popular vote. Those throwing a fit at the outcome can only point their finger at the candidate who obviously didn't want it bad enough to establish a media presence.

And why should we elect someone to run the country that couldn't even bother to campaign? Not everything should be expected to be a shoe-in just because you're from a party that does that sort of thing.
