[Apollo4PP] Lets Get Down to Business

Day 2,697, 22:56 Published in USA Poland by Apollo221

“Sometimes ignorance is bliss”

The first step to solving a problem is to admit there is one. It must be faced head on or it will forever continue. Ignoring the fact that the Feds are lacking in media, activity and overall membership participation only makes things worse. In a time like this we cannot turn someone away or pick and choose who works in a department simply because they are not experienced. The party needs experience to thrive and to return to the days before infighting and the feeling you must watch your back from those inside and outside of the party.

Sometimes ignorance can be bliss. I was ignorant once. Maybe I still am for knowing I can do something for my party. Sure we each have our own take and ideas on policies and how things should be run. There is even a good chance those ideas can blossom into something great. However, each person has that feeling in which they know they are the one that at this moment, in this time where someone must step into leadership, that must put their friends, family, and party before themselves, are willing and ready to do so. In this time someone experienced and capable needs to help and acknowledge that in a dying game things aren't looking good. At that point something must be done.

Something will be done.

De-branding does not mean to take away what it means to be a Fed. It is reinforcing that notion. It is pulling ourselves back to the once helpful party that put it’s country before itself. I’m sure you have logged on and seen people say the Feds are elitist and/or USWP clones. It was not always this way. We were once noob centric with regularly updated guides and supply handouts not for just the party members, but those who needed the help. Why turn someone away in a game where some of us may be chained to the computer but not everyone? We should encourage activity not reject someone from a department because you do not see the next generation of Federalist. I see them. I see myself in them. We have all had a beginning and someone to guide us through this game. To help us create our own aspirations. Let us do that again. We will become noob centric again. We will help those that need it whether they believe us to be the greatest or not. Country > Party > Self

“Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it”

With experience comes knowledge. Learning from not only yours but others mistakes can make or break an idea. Without knowing history you can never make the right judgement call when the time comes. Those who do not learn from previous Party Presidents do not know what does and does not work. If you do not know the history then aspirations for Party President are lost. Problems are faced that may never happen again. If they do happen, there is no way of coming to a logical solution without taking into account what someone who has undergone the same situation has done. Much like myself. In my previous experience I was faced with an almost disastrous congress loss. Due to game mechanics most people were booted from the list, unable to participate and cutting the list by at least half. I faced this adversary and no matter how many times I previously told myself I was prepared for everything, I was not. We managed a success as a party and held up our congress turn out with a lot of hard work. The unexpected happen. I faced the challenge then and I will face it now.

In a time where experience, leadership, and togetherness is needed, we must not hope things get better. We must make them better. We can hope and dream but until something is done, things will forever stay the same.
