[AMP]Enough is Enough
Haliman
Here we go again.
In April 2011, I got together with Sir Valaro Volcrum and Kria Erikson to address the ongoing military crisis. At the time, military people were not getting fair representation in congress, and were not being treated fairly. So we came together and formed the American Military Party to give everyone a voice, everyone a home, and everyone a fair chance. I remember when this party was a family. When we were devoid of trolls, and everyone was in the party because they wanted to work together
The fact of the matter is, this is no longer the case. I’m done being nice and trying to please the trolls that are killing this party.
Every AMPer that I talked to from when the party was reborn that left at some point has told me they left because party leadership, at one point or another, deviated from the party’s original platform of fairness and equality for all. This absolutely sickens me. When we first started out, this was not a political party. It was a fun community that people came to for friendship and to work towards a common goal. Now, it is a collection of warring cliques that are all vying for control of the party. People are more concerned about ”What’s in it for me?” or ”Well we can’t let the other side win!” People have put their own political careers above the well being of the party, and that stops today.
In all honesty, I would gladly trade every major national accomplishment this party has achieved if it meant the brother/sisterhood and comraderie would return to the AMP. We were a family before. We were such a strong community back when we were all unified.
No more. Enough is enough. This demeaning and diminutive immaturity has been driving people away from us for a very long time. This party has historically been a family, and it will be one again. If you have a problem with putting the collective above your own career or that of your own ambitions, then there’s the door. Feel free to stop obstructing the family from reuniting.
To those that have left us, come home. A lot of you were forced out of the party because of a changing platform. And I have absolutely no right to force you to do something. But please trust me. I made a promise when I ran for PP again. That I would restore our original platform of fairness and equality for all members, all while having a good time. A bunch of people have already come back to us. We can still fix this party. But we need to work together We need to be a unified community once more. I am working my butt off to restore our platform in its entirety, but I need you. Come home.
Be sure to check out the forum!
Let’s keep the momentum going! Invite friends to the party, and let’s start growing again!

Parties by there very nature breed factionalism the way trash dumps breed flies. If you want to end factionalism end the party system as we know it. War is politics by other means and politics is war by other means. All military units should be our parties and our parties are just another form of our military. Votes are weapons as sure as tanks are weapons. The USWP, AMP, WTP and the Feds should be as one. The game has moved far past this silliness

"I would gladly trade every major national accomplishment this party has achieved if it meant the brother/sisterhood and comraderie would return to the AMP. "
Just no. That's a shitty standard for how parties should act. Political parties are supposed to work towards a better nation on the whole, and if you have to choose between Party cohesion and national integrity, you should be choosing national integrity 100% of the time.

Haliman is a righteous dude.
I thought the JCS represented the military.
FirstLaw... not sure how you mean your comment.
IF it was referencing my own post, remember that back on Day 834 the JCS USMilitary was the "official military of the US government" so any talk of representing soldiers and their interests did mean JCS soldiers. by the time SVV and Haliman (and others, lest we.. blah blah whatever, get over it) reformed the Party, the JCS was no longer the official military and soldiers were fully serving in Congress as well as in uniform... so the basic premise, the very platform upon which the new era AMP was built was, by nature, different than the old one had been.
still now, we do have soldiers.. there are both Official Military's and Sanctioned Militias being subsidized by Congressional budget lines, and protecting those budget lines is always a concern. Soldiers are elected to Congress like anyone else, the whole prejudice against them has thankfully dissolved.
so as a result, unlike at the time of the origin of the Party, these days that's not enough to build a Party around.
what is the purpose, the platform on which this Party is based? is our purpose to exist to have more numbers, higher ranking, more Congressmen elected-- to win for the sake of winning? Does the AMP exist for some higher purpose, to serve the community or the nation in some more important cause? I guess that's up to the Party's leadership and members.. we've elected Haliman on his promise to get our rudder back in the water and put the Party back on course-- get active, pay attention, be part of the solution, post bumper stickers and definitely repeat slogans ad nauseum.. that's always helpful.

Agreed with Custer, we need a goal if we are ever to unite around a platform that will propel us in the right direction. I can't say it's open war in the AMP, but it's definetly not a functional family either. For a family to be made, we should extend the branch to the people that some are accussing of creating dissension. And this will only be made throught concrete action.
Let's see what you have for us Hali.

what I read was "Hanibal and Ajay are two sperms"
that speed reading course really paid off, eh..
The unrepentant elitism in the AMP must end. Haliman continues to use the party as his personal puppets.
Down with the elites! Glory to Nova Roma!

@GA Custer. I wasn't addressing you specifically but I remember the days when JCS had unprecedented influence in eUS politics. Perhaps they still do. If that isn't sufficient representation in government, then I don't know what is. Otherwise, AMP routinely gains 20-25% representation in Congress every election. (We the People would be thrilled to have even half of that number). And Cerb, a member of AMP was elected president a couple months ago. So to read an article about one of the largest and successful parties in the country lacking influence in the eUS is perplexing to me.

Irony Level: HALIMAN
You need to make your party more "low maintenance" for the casual user/2-clicker.
Not everyone wants to log into 4 different forums every day for roll call, acknowledge orders, see who to vote for in some b.s. other party's forum this week, and then spend 3+ hours nightly in top secret (idle) IRC channels brown-nosing.
That's your main problem.
Also, you could stand to be a bit more inclusive (think 'big tent'), less cliqueish, less 'if-you-dont-have-a-blue-starred-border-you-dont-count', and actually stand for something other than still pretending that it's July 2009 and that Harlot and Lucky are still around.
