What should the Dean22 Tank Factory produce?

Day 853, 09:55 Published in Canada Canada by Dean22

With over 2000g ready to involve in the quick production of Canada's war machine and having a recent look at Banach's article I think it's time to learn some feedback from Canadians about the quality of tank and doctrine of tank they would want.

*NOTE* These are are all real tanks from the real world for some of you who may be confused by Q5.

So far I can only think of two tank design philosophies. One that has heavy amounts of armor, and durability with a decent amount of damage so his enemy cannot hit him and it would basically be a show down of death. However, in terms of game mechanics I think there would be something like "everytime you fire your gun your tank loses durability". Assuming 100 durability = 10 shots. If a tank only lost durability on contact from enemy fire then that would cause PvP to be so slow that it would ruin the game.

Q1: Not a huge difference between the two.

T62 (Russia)
10 Barrel
10 Armor
10 Engine
20 Ammo
Focuses on damaging the enemy as much as possible in it's lifetime. Made to fight hordes of weak enemies where defeating them in one shot would be victory.

Centurion (England)
20 Barrel
10 Armor
10 Engine
10 Ammo
Focuses on hitting the enemy. Could be used to aid as fodder against Heavy Tanks. Cheap to produce.

Q2: Adds more customization and almost doubles the value of a tank in combat. These tanks are Russian made in design but for there cheap cost and lower quality they could be easily mass produced for the Regular Armoured Corps of Canada.

T-72 (Russia)

20 Barrel
30 Armor
30 Engine
20 Ammo
Designed for small amount of production and cheap cost but also has a bite that can still harm larger tanks slightly. It is designed to absorb the hits and to soak up the durability of larger tanks.

T-80 (Russia)

35 Barrel
15 Armor
20 Engine
30 Ammo
Dumping a slight amount of armor and easy production of the T-72 it fits a larger gun inside it to destroy tanks.

Q3: The standard tank where real customization is more possible. This tank will most likely be what Canada chooses to mass produce. The 4's will be for our elites and the 5's for our aces.

Leopard 1A1 (Germany)

50 Barrel
25 Armor
25 Engine
50 Ammo
Built to destroy and be maneuverable. Not meant as a frontline fighter but meant as a flanking tank that would flank the enemy and destroy him with a powerful attack or sit in ambush waiting for a powerful tank to crest on the battlefield.

Leopard C2 (Canada)

30 Barrel
60 Armor
35 Engine
25 Ammo
Focused for armor by Canadian Engineers following old WW2 Allied tank doctrine of overwhelming the enemy in numbers. It's designed to be able to dispatch tanks as well as take a large beating from weaker tanks.

Q4: Expensive but not "too" expensive. Too expensive to be a staple tank.

Abrams M1A2 (U.S.A.)

40 Barrel
90 Armor
30 Engine
40 Ammo
Built as a tank that can take a beating but also has a decent gun. However, the durability of this tank is lower due to the logistics needed for it.

Leopard 2A6M CAN (Built in Germany, Modified by Canada)

50 Barrel
60 Armor
40 Engine
50 Ammo
Built for speed, durability and a quick attack tank. It has enough armor to pick a fight and get out of one as well. It has a better gun over the Abrams. It has slat armor added on to protect it against weaker RPG attacks as well as weak tank attacks while it is flanking the enemy.

Q5: The Demi-Gods of the battlefield. These monsters decide who lives or dies and they are terrifying. These are real tanks you might recognize them in videos or video games but they are much older then said games/videos. Extremely expensive but can take out a Company of enemy armour alone.

Leopard 3 (Germany/Sweden) Defense Version

40 Barrel
100 Armor
70 Engine
40 Ammo
Built for armor and crew survivability. The hull has a low shape that's heavily armored and an uncrewed turret for hull down positions. It's armor is massive and it can defeat tanks by closing in to destroy. It's designed to hold the front lines or to defend a city.

Leopard 4 (Germany/Sweden/???) Attack Version

70 Barrel
40 Armor
40 Engine
100 Ammo
Built for a low hull and an unmanned turret. Not intended to take a lot of hits but can destroy tanks before they can even cross a border. Intended to defend borders from heavy armoured tanks or to break through to a capital building.

What will the staple tank of Canada be? What will be your tank? Will you be the fortress that the enemy dispatches helicopters to defeat or will you be the Super-Gun tank that destroys every obstacle in the enemies path.

Who knows maybe we can even have Mixed Armor Companies in the Canadian military so stronger tankers will be given the Heavy tanks which, will be surrounded by friendly MBT's such as the Leopard 1 or 2.
