EA-- Battle Field 1

EA DICE's widely popular first-person shooter game "Battlefield 1" is about to receive another major update this week. The game developer has just confirmed reports of the upcoming Spring Update. EA DICE made the huge confirmation this week.

EA DICE this week confirmed the upcoming Spring Update will include new weapons variants, new medic revive callout and the much-talked Platoons. The Spring Update is expected to arrive on "Battlefield 1" this week, April 26. However, the game's latest update still has some pending Microsoft and Console certifications, but EA DICE have announced recently that the patch is already in the works and it's now close to release.

The latest Spring Update will include several new Class Rank 10 weapon variants. These include the Hellriegel Defensive, Selbstlader Sniper, Martini-Henry Sniper, and Huot Automatic Optical. Reports said that each of the new weapon variants coming into the "Battlefield 1" will need to be unlocked first through separate assignments, just like with the game's first major expansion "They Shall Not Pass," PVP Live reported.

Also in the much-awaited Spring Update is the new Medic revive indicator. This brand new life indicator will allow "Battlefield 1" players to spot a dead teammate's body to show that help is coming to revive them.

The dead 'Battlefield 1" player will be notified with a loud ping sound and also with some visual notification.
Additionally, there's also some new Ribbons and Dog Tags coming to the game. However, there's not much information given to the public about this. EA DICE is yet to announce official words about this.

In addition to the new weapon variants, Private Servers are also slated to arrive in the next scheduled "Battlefield 1" patch. These Private Servers will allow players to close off their rental servers from the public, according to PVP Live.

But the real highlights of the Spring Update is not the new weapon variants or the new Medi Revive Callout, it's the much-talked topic in the "Battlefield 1" game. The much-anticipated Platoons Systems. According to reports, EA DICE has made some major reworking on the Platoon feature, adding new aspects to the feature.

Finally, Ammo 2.0, gameplay, and map updates were also mentioned in the Recent "Battlefield 1" Livestream. EA DICE first introduced a complete resupply rework in Ammo 2.0 a month ago.

The developer's recent grenade resupply change has received some criticism since it was first added in the game's "They Shall Not Pass" update. Reports said that the addition was not up-to-par with what EA DICE really wanted for the game. As a result, EA DICE has decided to announce a complete rework of the game's resupply system, it also named it the Ammo 2.0.

In other gaming-related news, the "Battlefield 1" premium pass players are about to receive the Nivelle Nights map DLC this coming June. All "Battlefield 1" players in a multiplayer party with a Premium Pass member will now be able to enjoy the map DLC for free when it launches in June.

Star wars :Battle front 2:

The original Star Wars Battlefront (well, the 2015 one, not the original one) did not have any single player campaign. The single player campaign, however, seems to be the focus of the marketing this time around, with the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront 2. It seems, however, as though some fans are still wary- many are apparently afraid that the campaign will just be tacked on, leading to EA trying to tackle the question head on to help dispel the fears somewhat.

“I think it shows a commitment to the single player mode that they came to us and Motive to create this campaign,” said EA Motive Studios’ Content Producer Paola Jouyaux to PlayStation Lifestyle. “EA are completely dedicated to building this game mode.” According to Lucasfilm’s Douglas Reilly, EA has its three best studios assigned to the game, including EA Motive, who have “tremendous experience making action movie-based narratives.”

Bethesda - Prey

With Prey now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, Bethesda has released one incredibly haunting launch trailer for its dark sci-fi thriller.

Prey originally entered development all the way back in 2006 as a direct sequel to 2K’s previous game of the same name before a series of delays and cancellations resulted in it becoming an entirely new franchise. It was developed by French studio Arkane, the folks behind the Dishonored franchise, with Raphaël Colantonio directing.

Mick Gordon, who received acclaim for his work on last year’s Doom reboot, provided the game’s score. If you’re a fan of his work, you can purchase the soundtrack on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play.

In addition to the launch trailer, Bethesda also released a video featuring a guided tour of the creepy open world Talos I space station where Prey takes place. It actually seemed like quite a peaceful place before it got infested with aliens.

If you want to learn more about the creation of the environments and creatures featured in the game, Dark Horse will be publishing the hardcover book The Art of Prey next month. Prima has also published a beautiful looking collector’s edition guide book.

Capcom: Marvel vs Capcom Infinite

Just in time for the box office debut of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, it's been confirmed that a pair of heroes from that rag-tag team will make an appearance in Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite.

Heading into the weekend, the official Twitter feed for Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite posted a brief video that fans of woodland critters, and woodlands themselves, should be excited to see. Yep, Rocket Raccoon and Groot will be making their way into the new game.

In keeping in line with the tongue-in-cheek tone of the film, the tweet is capped off by a series of hashtags, including one for the game itself, one of the new Guardians film, one that boasts this is a "shameless plug" and a "movie tie-in."

As for the shameless plug part, we assume that's because these versions of Rocket and Groot boast designs pulled straight from the Marvel films. If you'll recall, Rocket appeared in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, only boasting a design more akin to what he looks like in the original series of comics. He looks more like a nasty little critter in an orange jumpsuit this time around, rather than a cuddly Disney character.

But what's interesting to note here is that the tweet includes a quote from Rocket and says he's confirmed for MvCI, but it doesn't say anything about Groot, who is definitely on display causing trouble for Rocket's opponent. We figure there's a pretty good chance this means Groot isn't exactly playable so much as a summon for one of Rocket's ultimate moves. Another possibility is that this will be one of those duo characters, with Rocket riding on Groot's back and different moves causing each of them to pummel the opposition. Either way, we're happy to see the duo fighting side by side.

Also, it makes sense that these guys would look more like their Guardians movie counterparts, as the game itself seems to be based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe more than the comics this time around. In other words, we really wouldn't be surprised if MvCI eventually reveals a new Spider-Man pulled straight out of the upcoming film. Or maybe it'll be more like what we're seeing with some of the other Marvel characters that, in their standard form, look like their classic selves. Thor and Hulk, for instance, will have costumes from the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok if you pre-order the game.

So now that Rocket and Groot have been added to the roster, who are you folks looking forward to seeing next? Any favorites from previous games, or perhaps a Marvel or Capcom character you've never played in one of these games but would love to see join the roster?

Naughty Dog --

Crash remake

A new Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy gameplay video has been released by Sony and developer Vicarious Visions, showcasing the staggering graphical leap between Crash’s PSOne originals and the upcoming PS4 remakes.

The upcoming bundle offers a full revamp of Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, overhauling the retro platforms, which were originally produced by Naughty Dog, with a full current-generation makeover. This includes improved visuals, lighting effects, sound effects, and overall more modern aesthetic to complement the existing design of each stage.

Uncharted 4

Apparently, Naughty Dog Is More a Fan of May the 5th Than May the 4th

There are many reasons to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, but Uncharted 4 just gave you another reason. In between drinks, you can now opt for some Classic Mode in multiplayer. That’s not all, however; some bonuses and freebies are coming our way.

Although it’s hard to say whether Classic Mode was meant for Cinco de Mayo or if it’s arrival time is simply coincidental, here it is. The new game mode is accessible via the beta test playlist. And, depending on feedback, it may return in the future. Classic Mode is a “back to basics” game mode that forgoes the use of Mysticals, radar, downed state or sidekicks.

Furthermore, there will be no boosters, Hero Weapons, or deployable gear–with the exception of grenades. This is a bare bones experience, but many players might prefer that. Plus, the infinite respawns may help keep things enjoyable.

More importantly, playing for the Cinco de Mayo event, lasting May 5th to May 8th, earns you a nice cap with a Mexican flag on it. That’s the only freebie; correction, it’s the best gift an Uncharted 4 player could hope for.

Along with the free cap, however, playing during the event also delivers a 50 percent relic bonus on challenges. Simply log into the game anytime and play multiplayer or Survival.

Naughty Dog’s certainly pumped for Cinco de Mayo. Are you? Comment your thoughts on Uncharted 4’s event below. Will you be getting that Mexican cap? Let us know.
