well let me go first then. First with regards the poll conducted on the forums for UP to choose one PP candidate in order to send members off to other parties to prevent ATO's I would like to say many thanks to all those that supported the poll. I emerged the victor by two votes and I think it went rather well even if only 20 members voted. Although it was great fun I must admit that the end part didn't leave me feeling proud as I got resorted to attacking my opponents without due consideration to the long term effects my words might have had. We now still will have two or more candidates running for PP so this is now a divided party!

I've extended my apologisies to Leon and Greekpwner for things I said and as far as I know its been accepted and the hatchets are now buried! Lets hope its not in each others backs!

Now onto the next step of my campaign which is the short finals to the actual elections which are upon us!
I've given a brief overview on why I'm running for PP and would like to submit this second article to support my candidacy

I don't resent or fail to acknowledge new players. In my book all players are judged purely on how active they are and what they are trying to achieve! With that said most of you will know I've been out of the loop lately and coming back I've seen loads of new people in leadership positions. This is great but some of them haven't been playing very long and apart from the lack of experience they might have I haven't got a grip on what everyone's trying to do yet.
I go back to when I first started playing eRep and I used to be nervous about taking on anything involving responsibility. Nowadays players breeze in and try run for CP or PP? I don't believe that is right and feel its rather arrogant of them! I'm not referring to anyone directly and I must admit some new faces have done a lot for our small community. There are also those always waiting to expose a respected player if he slips up which is kinda sad because everyone makes mistakes and we need to learn from them and move on.

Should I win this term as PP of UP I will ask for volunteers to apply for the positions

My first order of business will be to actively get some order in the department for new players assistance. something like the mentor program and the new player assistance program. Wilpanzer has always been deeply involved and Im sure with the right support and backing then he can come up with a new program which caters to our new players needs so that we can place it before congress for approval. Wilpanzer is the man for that job!

In my term I would like to see if I can revive some of the spirit which has died in the UP. I'm talking about the activity and resourcefulness we had.
Lets stop slandering our brothers, both here and in government and start being pro active in supporting them. Lets be proudly eSA and stand firm behind our President instead of bashing him at every turn. Negativity and bitterness breed spawn more bitterness and negativity. This is a chance to open the windows and air the party. It seems the days are gone where an individual can run without some warlord/mafia boss or call them what you want but if you string a couple of die hards behind you then nothing will stop you. You can take over the biggest party in a country, settle in and run for CP and the two clickers will vote you in. Im here to say no! Why should we be dictated to? Its not a case of vote for me or else! you have the right to choose a candidate but dont choose one because he may have some followers punting for him and he says the things you want to hear. Think long about what you want for UP as each member makes us who we are. The face you elect is going to be there for the next 30 days or longer.
Is this about me against up the desert lions? and Greekpwner admitted that Leon tells him what to do so is the Desert Lions and the Greeks heavies? Is this how politics is going to work from now on? if you arent in with a group you dont get a shot at doing something?
Well Im not afraid! I am a Patriot in the Union of Patriots! I will not be kneel and be submissive!
Together we can show that being in a clan/group/secret society does not grant you god like status and if you feel that way then hopefuly this eDavid is going to put that eGoliath down again!
