To rank up or not to rank up, that is the question

Day 2,136, 05:45 Published in USA Bulgaria by Stolch

I was going to wait for the other article to run it's course and see the response of Pinocchio, before moving on to the next step, but as I was looking at the apparent manipulation of the current missions, where Romania has a lower requirement then Bulgaria for example, which is only possible in one of two ways, either the numbers are manipulated, or the more plausible, they new not to fight in the last 5 days before the tournament, I came across another gem.

First however I'd like to ask someone from each country to make a screenshot of the requirements for their country so I can post them here and we can compare them.

Now to the little gem I found out, this one is for all the tanks out there, but interestingly enough it probably was most detrimental to all those players who usually do not do much damage but stayed active all through the previous event and made more then their normal amount of damage.

So what is this little gem of a feature you ask? Well in short, the maximum amount of rank points one can get in a single erep day is.....drum roll.... 16 777 215!

In terms of damage that is around 168 000 000. This is so because of Rockets, missiles and other bonuses that may not generate the same amount of rank points. However doing 1 billion damage and still getting 16 million rank points is pretty indicative.

I'll not bother with screen shots as they're not needed in this case, I'll just publish a few links:

I think this is enough for everyone to see the pattern..... Best part is that this is not new as can be seen for some of the regular tanks, this limit on the amount of rank points one can gain has been there all along most likely, so for years now if you did more then 168 000 000 damage you basically had your additional rang points stolen from you.

I don't know if Pinocchio knows of this or has noticed it before but they should have as it is in plain site if I can do it in 5 minutes with an out of game stat site, so should his 30 or however many strong staff.

So read this article and sign up and support it, it's time to change this game:

Open letter to Pinocchio

Oh darn it, it seems the players are much more "insightful" then the admins.

No there is no rang points being "stolen" it's a calculation error of e-gov, however as it is only e-gov which gives us any information it is the one we can only use and easily come to the wrong conclusions if we don't stop to look into the numbers, this was supposed to demonstrate this.

The key being that it is as much in the administrations interest to be transparent and give us the correct numbers rather then have to rely on outside sites who may or may not get them.

The new missions however part of the article is entirely as is. Again some have had information before others about the upcoming missions and so altered their normal game to play to gan an advantage. This is not their fault but the fault of Pinocchio who allows this practice.
