Poutine with the Pals #5- Chance Harrison (Punisher FC)

Day 2,506, 09:16 Published in Canada Canada by klop123

Good afternoon everyone, today's interview is with a good friend of mine and a former Irish CP, Punisher FC (a.k.a Chance Harrison).

1. Tell us about the RL Punisher FC.

I'm a RL American and older than most eRep players. I just recently returned from my second deployment overseas. Yes I'm also a gold buyer. 🙁

2. RL Hobbies and Interests?

eRep of course. When I'm not playing eRep I'm watching sports and taking my kids to their sporting events. I love music as well. Whatever sounds good. No one genre really. Just what my ears like.

3. Best RL adventure you've been on?

Probably my last deployment. Kuwait is pretty cool. The "developed" part of it anyway. Many people of all walks of life. Food was pretty good as well. I'd go back to visit if I could.

4. How did you start playing erep? Why'd you stay?

I probably started from a "click on this" ad. I'm not sure if it was facebook or another MMORPG but it was definitely a fancy spend your money here ad. Why have I stayed? Simple... the community.
It seems to be dying down so now I just stay due to familiarity and addiction.

5. Favourite Module and why?

War module of course. Pew Pew Pew! I've tried my hand at all of them. I've been CP, Congressman and MoD. I've owned a few comps and when my tanking got out of hand I had to melt the comps for
the gold.

6. You changed your name from Chance Harrison to Punisher FC, why?

I've changed my name from Chance Harrison to Centurion 69 and back to Chance Harrison only to change again to Punisher FC. As with my many countries, MU and names changes I'm just
reinventing myself and keeping myself interested in the game. I did it to shy away from the community as well. I've been contemplating a final return to Chance.

7. You were on a "Mission 69" and travelling around the eWorld before stopping in eCanada. Tell us about your mission and why you chose to stay in eCanada.

Mission 69 was to keep me interested in the game. The article for it is here.

I first started off at 6.9 mil per country but that was paltry and I didn't think it was right to waste CS passes based on minimal damage. At the time 69 mil seem like a decent chunk of change.
I've recently stopped moved based on my enjoyment of maple syrup and hot, hockey, moose loving Canadian chicks. I've also failed to get accepted in a few countries so it got kind of annoying.
I mean how hard can it be to get into Switzerland or Sweden? 😮

8. What feat are you most proud of here in eRep?

Sniping Romper for a BH, winning my first BH and becoming CP of eIreland. When I first started playing eRep I never thought I'd win a BH as I kept getting sniped over and over again but I
finally did it and became a sniper myself on quite a few occasions including beating out Romper. He must have been away. CP was something I thought was out of reach and it was for quite awhile as I had originally had wanted to reach
this position in eUS. The community of eIreland was a bit more accepting of me and some of the best players I ever met I met in eIreland.

9. Favourite movies & books you've read/seen? Why?

My favorite not favourite I'm AMERICAN... movie to date would probably be Glory. It's a civil war movie about the 54th Massachusetts based regiment that was made up of mostly black Soldiers. My history teacher showed it to us and I've watched it many more times since.
I especially love when COL Robert Shaw played by Matthew Broderick brings in an Irish Sergeant to teach the men of the 54th discipline. I'm part Irish and in the military so I can relate to the film so that's why I like it.

My favourite book is probably C.S. Lewis's The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Before the movie was ever a reality I read the novel and was taken for a mythical ride and it excited me unlike many other books.

10. Greatest player you've met here thus far? Why?

The greatest player I've met thus far based purely on notoriety would be Romper. I also had some cool conversations with the late Sam Cougar. May he R.I.P.
