I Need You

Day 2,927, 00:34 Published in India India by Bholenath

Hello India,

I have been wondering. I am sure many other Presidents before me must have wondered and dreaded the same thoughts - how to improve India's situation? Increase the activity? Get a baby boom? Make India a powerful nation?

Meanwhile, we tried organizing some elaborate tournaments. Prizes were as big as it can get - Infantry Kits, Power Packs & Full TC Upgrades. Participation was worse than dismal. Just one participant really taking up the challenge. Were the incentives not enough? The were more than enough. What went wrong then?

This is my second term. At the start of my first, I really struggled to find a cabinet. But anyway, I worked with what I had. Two madmen like me took up their job seriously - Kunal as MoE and Rayne as MoFA. We had a good start - a small BB. Unfortunately, Kunal had to leave due to some personal reasons (which were totally justified as far as I am concerned.) It was a mixed term from that point onward. We were unable to retain our babies but the in-game activity was at all time high. Though the Durga Puja week did bring a big slump in activity.

I wasn't satisfied with my first term mostly because India's status quo hadn't changed and partly because I had failed to deliver on some of my promises such as organizing competitions. All of you were generous enough to allow me to continue to a second term. So here I am, batting in my second innings.

We have had a good term till now, I think - people have become rich (Headless Hunter), boon in Skype activity, rental deal with three countries, two major tournaments & enough wars. But clearly, all is not well.

I had mentioned in my very first CP candidature article that the government will be only as active as its citizens. I am proud to see that some citizens have started to clamour and demand more from their government. It's a healthy sign. But then why haven't they been participation either in the government itself or government-sponsored TG upgrades tourney or Murugan tourney? If not for the prize then at least for generating activity?

I think I have figured out the reason why most Indians haven't been participating. The tournaments were ill-timed. Most of the players here are students, and November is the time of academic exams and even some competitive exams.

Nevertheless, holidays are upon us. I expect to see an active December. But for that, India needs a hyper active core. Rayne & me have been trying our best to run the country smoothly and live up to your expectations - we have delivered results but have also had some failures. We will continue to strive to make India better. I am extremely delighted to see Ananthakrishnan currently stepping up to the challenge and pledging some of his time towards IA.

Yes, we need your help. To make December awesome, we need enigmatic people in cabinet. No experience? Doesn't matter, you'll learn on the job. Oldie with too much experience? Doesn't matter, you'll illuminate the path for the newbs. We only ask you to be sincere towards your work. The secret to any nation's success is people who are self-driven towards toiling hard and working together to make their country better. Can you be one?
