I have time to kill:

Day 2,721, 07:50 Published in USA USA by Jimmy Cincinnati

Issue #75

Featuring an interview with Presidential Candidate, Wooky Jack.

I emerge from a house with a caved-in roof and make my way onto 3rd street.
Most of the East Side had been destroyed in a conflagration that was started when rockets were fired into the city. The shells of two cars, still serve as a makeshift barrier. It was home and I wouldn't trade it for anywhere in the world.

The sun had returned and I was on my way to the Meet Wooky Jack. The Wooky had agreed to an interview; if I would agree to a sparring match. It felt pretty good, after months of cold weather. I thought that a lot of my burdens would soon be melting away.

I walked, a few blocks, to the People-Mover and up to the dock.
I passed two soldiers and gave them a, nervous, "What's up," nod. Inside the car; I found a seat.

A guy was begging for money, but I was glad that nobody was insisting upon it.

I got off at Lakeview and walked, over the tracks, to Comrade Lane. Then, left, onto People's Parkway.

I met with Wooky Jack at the, newly constructed, Build-a-Bear Arena. Jack showed me around the place and we used some of the new equipment. We had two matches, but, mostly, told a lot of war stories. He's got 17 golden gloves, so I tried to take his legs out. I kept leaving myself open.

Afterward, we had an, informal interview. I recorded it for the Loose Cannon:

You've been playing eRep, since V1. How did you hear about eRepulik?

*Wooky*
I heard about erepublik from a RL Greek who I met in a forum that focused on the PC game Rome: Total War.

*GoTJ*
What is your favorite game feature?

*Wooky*
The media is my passion; I love to write.

*GoTJ*
You are running for PotUS, so I should ask; what diplomatic experience have you?

*Wooky*
I was Deputy Director of State for Wild Owl. He is a masterful diplomat and ushered in a new era of foreign affairs for eUSA. Specifically, I was the main writer for the Pacifica org in its beginnings and I LOOOOVE our alliance. I have made very good friends with the leaders and past leaders of Russia, Latvia, RoC and Finland. I hope I serve the alliance as well as Wild Owl did.

*GoTJ*
What is your stand on the dictatorship module, if you have one?

*Wooky*
The dictatorship model was the most innovative thing I have seen this game unleash on the community, ever. I would believe most people would admit its not a preferable way to run our country, but it was made to work, and very well by eUSA's politicians. It has not been fair at times, but life is not fair. In the end having a dictator protects eUSA from getting hosed by foreign hostiles. We saw this happen in eSpain.

*GoTJ*
How could a citizen get a position in your presidential cabinet?

*Wooky*
Send me a note. If you're interested in a position I like to keep it old school. Lets me face to face.

*GoTJ*
"Cool," is one example; when the perception creates the reality. What's the coolest thing that happened to you, on eRepulic?

*Wooky*
The coolest, and most humbling, thing in erepublik is having the respect of many other players. And when I see the amount of support I have had over the past week I cry manly tears of joy. Its truly an honor to be able to serve those who trust me and push me to go on and do great things.

*GoTJ*
Thanks for the time.

After the meeting, with the Wooky, I was met by a courier. I signed for a small paper package and placed the bundle into my pocket. I intended to open it, when I got home, but I was stopped a few blocks away from the people mover.

A stalky man asked, "Excuse me; do you know what time it is?"
I took out my phone and brought up the display. Then, I heard, "If you run; I'll shoot you in the back."

I thought it was a joke, until I saw the glint of a large handgun, being raised.
"Give me the bag," he demanded.
My heart raised, into my throat and I handed over the bag, with my dirty laundry.
He instructed me, "Start walking and don't look back, until you get wherever you're going."

I didn't tell the soldiers, at the station. I didn't know what was in the package and it may have been illegal. As soon as I was on the train, I sneaked a peek at the package.

When I reached the dock, I told the soldiers what had happened. I was paranoid of someone following me home, so I went to the press.
