Discussion on Canada

Today I will try to talk about something different; it's not an article about eRepublik history but a wanna-be start of discussion on today's politics and foreign affairs.
History and foreign relations are the key features of this game for me. My last two articles were about Canada, one was the war on Canada, the other was the alliance with them. So, let's talk about Canada!
I believe that in a game, based on real life, Canada can not be ignored by US players. Canada must be either loved or hated, but can not be neutral - it would be boring, it's boring! We need them!
In my opinion Canada should either be
1, Invaded, annexed and incorporated into our nation as a territory, later as the 51st state!
Issue on this way is Canada's recent ORION membership, however, I doubt that such a weak alliance would even dare to resist our might and power.
All strong nations have their permanent colonies - Croatia has Bosnia, Serbia has Albania, Italy and Spain, Romania has Ukraine and Belarus, Greece has FYROM and Egypt, Hungary has Austria and Germany, Turkey has Iran, etc...) we don't have any! With Canada, this could be changed!
2, Our northernprotectorate bro, the best little friend we help any time they need it, even risking our own security!
Issue is that we have our best friends at PACIFICA, however, I haven't seen yet the strong ties one would expect from "true allies".
However, a brolliance with Canada could be the first step for the revived Monroe-doctrine! We already have an alliance with Mexico, so protecting both our southern and northern neighbours could make as the good, strong guys of North America, and would also secure our borders!
I believe that our current stance of foreign affairs with no really strong ties with allies and no permanent colonies kills the fun of the game. We should focus on our neighbours (especially on Canada!), and either protect them at all costs or annex them. JUST 4 FUN!

Respectfully disagree. Permanent occupation ruins the game for residents/fans of the occupied country. To be a "strong nation" doesn't necessarily mean being an imperialist nation.
I also do not agree that we should perma wipe Canada. I remember the reaction of American Citizens when we got wiped, to the say the least Americans were not pleased.The biggest reason the current government refuses to deal with Canada is because two American exPatriates Whales basically kicked their A$$ in the last Canadian War.

Personally, I can't see why we aren't doing everything we can, to secure an alliance with a nation which share 13 borders.
As far as Annexing then; eHistory has shown us that hey don't want our government. I can't blame them. Our leadership collects medals, while we do most of pertinent work.
