Weekstrom has made it clear that he would like to be succeeded by a new commander as he believes that he isn't active enough to be a good commander. As djirtsdew mentionned he still is very active yet believes that a commander should do even more. As long as we don't have a better option Weekstrom is willing to stay as Commander of DAF.
The question is , would LORDDEMOS be a better commander at this point in time?
I'll vote for Weekstrom in this case as I haven't heard much from LORDDEMOS,
Maybe MoD should write an article where people can candidate themselves for the role of Commander and start a little election campaign 🙂

I don't think so. I think Mattio is just doing something random to see what will happen under the name of activity 😛
I'm not in favor of public Commander elections. The most important thing of being commander is to be able to work with the government and at the same time be a competent military leader who can keep his political neutrality. I rather see the government appoint a new commander if this is needed than elections.
